    I have a Fitbit (zip) and find it motivating too. It has been my best fitness find. I also use the zombies run app, (their c25k version is called zombies 5k) and it's so funny I get distracted from the work of running. I'd totally recommend it. ;)

    Personally I would say yes, enjoy your party, just carry on the next day. It might mean you lose 1lb instead of 2 but we all want to live a life. This is why I'm losing weight slowly.;) People without food issues still overeat/drink it's just occasional rather than every week/day!
