Anyone in 14's wanting to get into the 13's?

Hi all. I'm floating around in the 14s at the mo, depressingly after managing to stay in the 13s for most of last year. We are going away for a weekend in two weeks so I'm determined to get on it and hit the 13s by the time we go. About 9-10lb to lose.

    Total Solutions - Sweeteners

I prefer Splenda as it seems to taste less of chemicals, but it's really a case of what suits your tastes. (Something to note; I know several people who react to aspartame - getting skin conditions, headaches etc - so if you notice anything like that it's worth changing to a sweetener that...

    Slow Couple of weeks...

Isn't it frustrating? Lost 8lbs a week for the first two weeks, then only 2lb a week for the next two. I know that I'm doing well overall, I've lost 20lbs in 4 weeks and coping well, not missing food, knowing that I'd be eating badly from stress if I wasn't following the plan so I'm glad I'm...

    The Dreaded Week Three Stall....

Well it's weigh in tomorrow morning, I have done exactly as the previous two weeks and yet no change on the scales (yes I know, naughty naughty, shouldn't weigh in between weeks!) :sigh: I know that this is normal, this is usual, this happens every time and it's expected, but dear me it is...

Little things you notice after little losses...

I noticed I was getting that sort of hump of fat at the bottom of my neck at the back that I notice on other overweight gals. I'm happy to say that is receding fast!

    Week 2 Weigh In...

....and another 8lbs off :) over a stone in two weeks, can't be bad! I was soooo worried that second week would be a rubbish result, am quite chuffed.

    Before, During and After!

Ok, here goes, this is to motivate me (and hopefully others).... Back in January 2010 I looked like this... (at least I had plenty of padding if I fell!) So I started CD and by July looked like this.... and then this happened... so I ended up looking like this again.. but I'm...

Fruity porridges would be nice :) and a really chicken-y chicken soup? (Have only tried the Thai Chicken one, which is lovely but not flavoursome enough for me)

One month on, one month off? UPDATE @ post 24

I totally agree with SpottyDoris and was about to post something similar. Your responses sound very much like you are trying to disguise this decision as an excuse to cheat. I'm sure the majority of people here who have struggled for a long time with their weight will understand; it is so easy...

    IBS ON TS

Personally Exante has more of an 'effect' on my poor old guts than CD ever did, which can be a tad disturbing but I'm sure it will settle down. Just make sure you drink plenty of water!

Did you just 'wake up' with it or have you been officially diagnosed with the condition and had a flare up?

What the hell is happening? :-(

I don't want to put anyone off their lunch but when was the last time you 'went'? I've found with Exante I don't go very often and that affects the scales (yes I too weigh every day) especially with the 'bulk' of the bars (CD bars were very small and I didn't find they affected me). My weight...

    New life begins tomorrow!!

Yes and no; the great thing about very low calorie diets is the lack of hunger - the one thing I cannot cope with is feeling hungry. I think the main issue is losing food and booze as a coping device; when I've had a bad day something yummy and a glass of wine is my first thought so you really...

Working Solutions Indian eating out help please?

I do think it will be weird after two months of not eating Cupid, but after a couple of years of rubbish birthdays I'm determined to at least go out for this one! I suspect I'll only want a little of each dish but I'm soooooo looking forward to trying them :)

    New life begins tomorrow!!

Go for it Sarah. Exante (and similar vlcd) are all great for substantial weight loss if you put the effort in :) I lost 4 stone in 2010 on CD as I wasn't falling pregnant and was really despondent about my weight. I lost the weight in only 5 months in total and soon found out I was expecting a...

    resisting temptation!?

Yesterday I was having a stressful day, everything was getting on top of me and I was sooooo tempted to just eat everything in sight. Luckily I was able to take myself off to the cinema with hubby and just being distracted by two hours of Mission Impossible 2 completely recharged my enthusiasm...

Working Solutions Indian eating out help please?

Helpful thread; my hubby is going to treat me to dinner at a nice local indian (which he has been talking about for years but we have never managed to visit!) for my birthday in March, so I am interested to know what I should/can order. I was planning on avoiding the rice, naans etc (although...

Can you not use the Porridge packs if you are doing 100%?

I didn't know that Exante did porridge packs until recently, but seeing that a post about the porridge packs was moved made me wonder that I shouldn't have it on the total solution plan?

    Yucky soups

I've found that the vanilla and chocolate benefit from adding some sweetened coffee and whizzing it all up with ice cubes and extra water - makes it more like a frappe (or mocha frappe in the chocolate case) and a bit easier too stomach as it is less creamy.

    Yucky soups

Ditto. But then I think it's a good way of making myself depend less on eating 'tasty' foods to cheer myself up, and just eat to live, rather than living to eat iyswim? When a soup is particularly bland, such as the mushroom, I do add white pepper to give it a bit of a kick.

How many times have you not lost?

Hi all! I'm new to minimins but I've been on CD for nearly 6 weeks now- WI 6 is tomorrow. I lost 2 stone in my first four weeks but last week I gained 1lb and I don't 'feel' like I've lost anything this week either  I'm on the plan 100%, I refuse to stray or cheat or anything as I'm a...
