Where have the years gone ?

Hi - another 'where did my twenties go?' person here! Will be 33 in the summer and when I look back, all i did in my twenties (apart from Uni etc) was worry about my weight and yo-yo from one diet to another! I'm hoping that my thirties will be my new twenties but only I can change that - I...

    Extra Easy Rubbish day

No, not an omen - it just shows you are human lol! If we were all perfect, none of us would be on SW because we'd all be the size that we wanted to be. I am starting to realise that this is a journey and not just a diet - you're bound to have ups and downs but the main thing is that you dust...

    Something to shout about!

Wow Mrs V - that is brilliant! I know you didn't post to brag about your losses, but you should be mighty proud of how far you've come. You are an inspiration to many of us but especially me, in my first month on SW - I now understand that I can do this if I stick to it! Thank you and well...

Extra Easy Feeling hungry since starting SW

I second the protein recommendation. I have always had problems with hunger when I haven't eaten any protein, particularly at breakfast. When I just have cereal and fruit I am starving by about 9.30am but when I have some scrambled egg and smoked salmon, or maybe some ham and eggs, this sees...

    Evening Meal Help please

I am going to have home-made salmon fish cakes (or tuna - can't remember what's in the cupboard lol) and either serve them with chilli sweetcorn relish (home made - 1 1/2 syns for tbsp of chilli sauce mixed in with sweetcorn and red pepper) or a nice crispy salad. Dieting eh...:D

    Sexy Syn free icecream?

It's a bit more creamy than just a frozen yogurt - the trick is to stir it up after about 30 minutes and then decide if it needs a bit longer in the freezer. My biggest problem is not eating it en-route to the freezer!!! :D

    Sexy Syn free icecream?

So much deliciousness - so little syns I found a brill recipe in the desserts section of this board for ice cream - at 3.5 syns - yes, you heard me right!! I have been making it as follows: 1/2 tub of Total 0% Greek Yogurt (free) 1/2 tub of Quark (free) 1 sachet of Options (most flavours...

    First week loss!

Aw, thank you everyone :o I agree, any loss is a good loss (didn't mean to sound ungrateful!) I can't believe that a week ago I was staring at my highest ever weight on the scales and my eating was spiralling out of control. I just need to focus now and not get complacent - onwards and...

    First week loss!

Hey everyone, I started at the beginning of the week and, despite having two family celebration meals (you know the ones where you have the best of intentions but quickly find yourself using flexible syns :() I still managed to lose 2 pounds! Not a great loss for my first week but hope to...

A question about healthy extra B

Hi, I am doing Extra Easy but still trying to get my head around my A and B choice. Could anybody be so kind as to tell me how many Kallo Rice Cakes (wholewheat variety) would constitue a B? I am hoping they are not synned as they formed the basis of my lunch today! Thanks - and sorry if...

The Myth of the muller light??

Lol - I have a husband like that - soooo annoying when all I have to do is look at a chocolate eclair and I'm two stone heavier! I think the chocolate one with the cherry under-layer is 2 syns, the lemon cheesecake is 1 syn but the other ones are free free free!

    Just starting

Hello - and welcome! This board is lovely and friendly. Popular opinion seems to be that syns are there to be used and to be honest, it's nice to know that you have room for a little extra treat during the day! If you eat them all then great - you are allowed to. If you don't eat them all...

    too much fruit

Hi Jezebel, I am quite new to this (my first week!) but I have always found on other diets that protein fills me up far more than fruit or veggies. So...for breakfast why don't you try having some scrambled egg and bacon (if time) or ham if no time to cook bacon? Someone suggested crab...

Hello everyone! I am a newbie to this board, although I have done SW before (a few years ago) and have been stuck out in the wilderness (WW!!!) for a while now. I didn't find I was getting enough support from my WW group and can't afford to join SW at the moment, so I am trying to go it alone...
