Lost 10 stone. SW is for men, too! Before and after pics and diary.

Such a difference. Well done. Sounds like you've got a really clear vision of where you want to get, so keep that in mind + I'm sure you'll get there. Good luck

    Quark - how to use?

I mash it with tuna or cooked salmon for a quick pate for lunch on red days. Yum.

    ReducingRach's Resolutions

Hitting the slimming self-destruct button! Hmmm, well I've not exactly been sticking to the plans outlined above. What happened? Well, after having a thoroughly enjoyable weekend away when I was generally pretty good, I then became despondent about having put weight on. Logically I knew most...

    Monday weigh in

Hi everyone, well done for some great results. I gained 4lb yikes! No doubt some due to weekend away and some off plan treats, but there is no way I consumed that much! I think some must also be fluid retention, so I'll be extra careful this week and keep my fingers crossed it will soon be...

    ReducingRach's Resolutions

Just a quick update as I've been away. I've put on 4lb this week, (yikes), taking me almost back to where I started. I'd expected a gain as I've been off plan for 4 days due to being away, although for about half the time I tried to choose SW compliant options eg jacket with vegi salad, but I...

Really pleased with myself today as I fitted comfortably into a skirt I bought in October and had never worn because it was too tight :-)

Thanks cyberjelly. I used to eat this all the time when I did SW years ago and loved it, but I thought they'd discontinued it. I'll have to look out for it.

    Easter Challenge 2011..

Well done everyone. Keep going. Woo hoo 2lb off this week :D If you feel in need of some inspiration, type one mans one hundred and twenty pound journey into youtube. Brought tears to my eyes, but so so motivating, especially for folk like me who struggle with the exercise side of things...

    Monday weigh in

Well done everyone. So pray tell cyberjelly, what did you change to for breakfast? I'm getting a bit stuck in a routine of fruit + honey shreddies and could do with a change. I lost 2lb this week.

What foods for best weightloss...?How much fruit.

Yep, same as other folk I've found bananas tend to slow down my weight loss so now I tend to save them for an after exercise treat as they are such a good energy boost.

    The Power of Quorn

Thanks for this helpful tip..... Will try & stick to 10 syns & see how this works. Fingers crossed.

calling slimmers who go to group - question...

Interesting to see the comment that 10 syns are suggested. I'm doing SW at home, but went to a group years ago. The advice then was to start with 15 and reduce to 10 when you got nearer to your goal. I always thought this was a good idea as it seemed to offer flexibility to reduce further, and...

    Disappointed in MYSELF

If I'm reading this right you've done really well to reach your goal, but are now feeling worried that you will have put on after a terrible week. Have you actually weighed yourself? You maybe worrying unnecessarily. If you have had a tough week maybe its worth asking yourself what the triggers...

Very tasty. Thanks. I made it with lamb and added fresh spinach at the very end. OH preferred it to the local Indian restaurant. Result :-)

Woo hoo....just done a half hour run and a yummy tea of cauldron sausages, roast parsnips and sweet potato is in the oven to go alongside a cheese and mushroom omlette followed by a HEX B cereal bar and late a 2 finger kit kat....all within daily allowance. Think I'm on a beginners roll...I'm...

    SW -online membership

I signed up recently, having previously attended a group. I used to find the group really helpful, but then moved & the local group is huge & just took way too long each week so I decided to try on line. Basically, I think it may be useful to someone new to SW, but otherwise it seems grossly...

    If i were rich......

Love this concept. How about a SW friendly cafe where it was a set price for a syn free meal & there was an additional premium for extra syns? That way there would be double the incentive to keep on track ;-)

Hi Jennibells Well spotted.... I know I called them Mini, which is what they look like to me, but they are actually called Tiny toblerone (6 g each, 3 little pieces & come in a big box of White, milk & dark). When i checked on the sw website it said 1.5 each. Sorry for the confusion.... So much...

    ReducingRach's Resolutions

Hi everyone, Thanks for dropping by to look at this. Best of luck with your own journeys. For years I've been wishing I was slim and nothings changed (surprise surprise ;)). Clearly I need to set myself a goal, but as the end target seems too big at the moment I thought I'd break it down a...

    Easter Challenge 2011..

Hi everyone, Great to see how you're all getting on. It was my first week this week + I lost 3lb so I'm pretty pleased with that. I read a report at the weekend that says that if you make a public commitment to make a change you're more likely to stick to it....fingers crossed thats the case...
