    Set my target at 14 st 3 with consultant, but I reckon I might want to lose a bit more (BMI says I should be about 11 and a half stone which would make me look like a stick).     Normally if you get a tandoori then it's marinated in spices and sometimes yoghurt and then dry roasted in a clay oven or over charcoal. They usually bring a curry sauce with it separately, just don't eat that.

    Asian as in indian/kashmiri/bangladeshi etc? Or more like chinese/thai/japanese? If it's indian I personally would go for a tandoori meat dish as it's just the meat with spices and maybe yoghurt. Might be not the leanest meat or lowest fat yoghurt but miles better than a curry cooked in...

    Can't see why you'd put weight on sticking with that list of foods. I wouldn't get disheartened, stick to that for a couple of weeks and if it's still not working keep a food diary to show the consultant.     Have you kept a food diary? Also B choices, bread and cereal, 1 slice of bread is your allowance a day, or a small bowl of only certain cereals.

    Any sauce with the pasta chicken? if so, homemade or from a jar? You need to balance the meat/carbs with free foods, as you've pointed out.
