    Dukan to Slimming World

I did Dukan for a about 5 weeks before switching to slimming world. I lost around a stone on Dukan but found it quite difficult fitting it in with family life even though it was very effective, so switched to slimming world. My losses have been small and steady with slimming world - however I'm...

Goan Prawn curry - need the recipe please

Hello I hope I've posted in the correct place!!! I was wondering if any of you can help, in the last edition of the slimming world mag there was a gorgeous recipe for Goan Prawn Curry - I cut it out and used it last week - it was fabulous, but I think my other half threw the recipe away while...

    Why are people so tactless?

My mum always use to go on about how big I'd got and how people who use to know me from school would be so shocked if they saw how big I'd become. She had no quarms about making me cry. The comments got worse after a few red wines, she even said she give me a £1000 to lose weight. Our...

    Not losing weight :-(

Twinmum - I was doing the dukan diet the same time as you, I remember you from the boards. It helped me lose about a stone quickly but like you really struggled to make it work with my young family, and got fed up with the restrictiveness, cudos to those who stick to it. However, I'm so pleased...

Welcome to Newbies 2013 - Say Hello here!!!

Hi all I've recently defected from Dukan, which helped me shift a stone, which is fab. But I really started to struggle with fitting it into family life. I went to my first SW meeting on Wed, and I loved the support. Sadly I've gone right off track the last couple of days, my two year old had...

Anyone else struggling with the cold weather?

Thanks for the replies. The Thai chicken soup sounds lovely and the noodles sound good plan. Will try and get some at the weekend. I managed to stay on track last night, and I feel a bit better today. Here's my menu for yesterday (PV) B - Oatbran and Wheatbran Galette, 100g Tinned Mackerel...

Anyone else struggling with the cold weather?

I've got a stinking cold and headache, and really fancy a bowl of hot creamy pasta, I'm craving something really comforting. Do you all stick to the diet when you're not feeling well? Trying to think what I can have tonight that's comforting but does not take to much effort as I have no energy.

    Official weekly weigh in.

Hooray! 3lb down today after my slow start last week. I'm so pleased and a few people have asked if I've lost weight. A long way to go but I'm happy.

    Disappointed

Natlou, it's a real struggle sometimes isn't it especially if you're in pain with your back. But look at your success so far, you've lost over a stone, that's a great achievement. What has helped me to stay on track is planning a weekly menu in advance (including snacks) and sticking to it...

What dukan has done for me...

Dukan has made me think about everything I eat, and made me realise how much I use to snack on rubbish without even thinking about it. I think the strictness of this diet is what suits me.

    Gutted

Today was my first weigh in after my first week on Cruise and I've lost nothing!!! I'm so disappointed after my success on attack. BMI has gone down!!

Well done you. Fantastic. I love hearing about people's sucesses, it's very motivating and spurs me on. I'm really hoping to get my BMI below 30 when I weigh myself on Monday.
  28. Patsylfc

    Oh no!

It's probably one of the main reasons I got to this weight in the first place - putting food in my mouth and not thinking about it!
  29. Patsylfc

    Oh no!

I was preparing my kids some fruit for after dinner and I absent mindedly put a big piece of pear in my big gob! So disappointed - I've been so good. I know it probably won't matter that much but still annoyed! I'll have to be extra careful when preparing their meals. :(
