    Alcohol help please!!

Our old consultant used to say that it's not the alcohol that does the damage, but the food you eat because of the alcohol! So I agree with what others have said, plan ahead and stock the fridge with tasty but free food for when you get in, and make sure you have stuff for breakfast the next day.

How are you target members doing out there?

Congratulations sus_murf and lardylady! I lost half a pound this week which means I am right at the bottom of my target range. I feel comfortable there because I don't have to worry too much if I have a meal out coming up or a birthday and so on. I think psychologically it helps me be less...

Well done MissBlueEyes! Half off for me, so I am right at the bottom of target range. This is a good thing because I have a very food-heavy weekend coming up and I plan to enjoy every minute of it! (and it is very quiet in this thread - hope everyone is doing well!)

Day of slimming world and I am really struggling today :(

If the red/green plans worked for you before, there is no reason why you can not do them again. SW are no longer actively promoting them, but if you have joined a group or online and have access to the website, the plans are available there. And as those above have said, one bad day does not...

I'm struggling, falling off the wagon :(

Yes, change up your salads if you can. I buy rocket, baby spinach and watercress as well as lettuce for the green base, and add lots of pickle-type things for extra tastiness. For example: pickled onion, pickled red cabbage, capers, pickled jalapenos etc. For extra crunch try chopped celery...

    Salad dressing

This is what I do. I think I posted this in another thread, but I would strongly suggest you invest in the best balsamic you can afford. The really good, oak-barrel aged ones are really expensive, but so worth it! And a little goes a long way, so it lasts for ages.
  45. jogirl

Does using 105 syns throughout the week work for you?

I think it all depends on the individual = what works for one won't necessarily work for others. A possible problem is that if you've had most of your syns early in the week, you might feel "deprived" as the week goes on and you have no syns, and that might cause you to fall off the wagon...

    Hummus

And a word of warning - if you really like hummus and you try the SW recipe, you may be sorely disappointed! It's the tahini and the oil that make hummus so yummy, in my opinion. The SW version is just chickpea dip: nice enough in its own way, but not hummus!

How are you target members doing out there?

I don't think I will need to worry about being under my target range next week - I ate my weight in curry last night! With naan bread and bhajis and all the trimmings- and very nice it was too.

I don't think SW is working :( So upset.

Absolutely agree with all the above comments! You were already eating healthily and are close to your target: it is very normal for your losses to be on the smaller side. 1.5 pounds is a good loss - if you continue like that you'll reach your goal in about 7 weeks! Congratulations on your...
