14 Stone To Lose

For that much money you would expect them to show some concern!!w@@@@@s. ??? Nowadays its all about profit ,i went to a home to see a relative and i was shocked..it stank amid other things. There are good ones just harder to find esp since they are very expensive. Thinking of you .xx

I think the high turnover happens at pretty much every care home so you will have that anywhere you go sadly :(
However the fact that they seem to treat you and grandad like sh1t doesn't really sound good, gosh it's such a difficult decision to make, you will never know what the other care homes are gonna be like until he's there, because they will all put a nicey nicey front on coz they want your money, you would be better to ask people who have family in there xx

It so hard not knowing how good the care is in these homes until your relative is in one we are lucky with my nanny we found a nice one she was in there 2 years and unfortunately passed away this summer that was over £500 a week to. take care PSP xxx

I didnt realise they were so expensive. Can you not get a private carer for that much a week? 500 a week is alot to pay .x

It's such a difficult decision to make, isn't it. :( If you're worried about the standard of care you should definitely look at other options, but as was said previously, try to get personal recommendations. Thinking of you, hon. :) xx

My dear you know the best. Im sorry if I upset you.
You know what is right thing to do. I hope all the best for you and your granddad. Hugs dear xx

Oh PSP I have been off here most of the week.

So sorry to hear of your cousin passing & the issues with grandad.

Sending you big hugs.

Dxxx

Thank you darlings. You didn't upset me, Moo. It's hard to know the best of what to do all roads round isn't it :)

My brain is mush today, just had to do one of the most grown up things in my life. He's taken a turn for the worst today and is very poorly after 2 days of rallying and noone seems to know exactly why. The doctor took us to one side and brought up the subject of a DNR order on his records... I'm wondering if it means what I think it does.

I'm sorry to hear that, Kym, it's a difficult thing to go through. This week it was the second anniversary of my Mum dying, and I'll never forget what we went through at that time, so I do empathise with you. Take care. :) xx

Sorry for what you are going through take care xxx
