    Hiya

Since I have had a wee cheat today (chocolate, cake) my sis has talked me round to going out. This is the same sis that loses more than me each week and gorges herself with vodka every weekend lol:) So, I'm going. I haven't been out whilst on this diet coz to be honest it's been my life, but the man of my dreams isn't gonna come looking for me and knocking on my door is he ........ I've got to look for him.

Anyway, don't want to go too overboard but still want to drink alcohol. I drink vodka anyway when I am out so what do you think, will I be ok sticking to vodka and diet coke??

    Thanks butterfly

I didn't go. Once I decided to go I was dead excited. Went to get ready and nothing fits me anymore. I know I would rather cry coz my clothes are too big but the thinks I have from last year that do fit are old fashioned now so couldn't wear them either. Wish I had of gone coz to be honest I have stuffed my face all night !!!!

Ladies... re the clothes... charity shops are a godsend! (As are Asda and Tescos) :D

Sharing the single experience and just want to encourage you and say you CAN have a social life and do the diet and have a great time too! :)

Hang on in there Mia, it'll be ok. You've done great guns... a spot of retail therapy is what you need :D Just a couple of tops and mix and match bottoms and you will feel like a new person :) If you live alone I would recommend getting rid of ALL food that is tempting you,. bin the lot. That way it's far tougher to break the diet and you will get to that goal before your hols :D

Hope you feel happier very soon and that you have a lovely day today.

Can symapthise, I've had years of avoiding going out as nothing looks right. No doubt the reason I'm single

I'm also being fairly anti-social whilst on the diet - one night out a week with friends, sticking to a low carb meal and just 1-2 vodkas or dry wine. But I know that if I stick to it I can be enjoying myself at Christmas parties for the first time in years :)

Hope you're feeling more positive today and manage to keep to the diet :wave_cry:

Hi girls, hope you are all OK this morning.

I don't live alone, I live with my 15 year old daughter. She isn't on a diet so it's unfair not to have the usual treats in the house. I know what you mean though, I wish I could get rid of the lot.

I've got a wardrobe that ranges from a size 10 to 22 - honest. The thing is I won't go out without feeling good and the clothes that fit are old fashioned. Don't get me wrong, I love to shop but the thing is I'm doing on holiday in 3 weeks, then back a week, and away again so don't know what size I will be!!!!!!! I know I've lost 2 stone and I feel a hell of a lot better than I did, but I have another 2 to lose (1 would do but want to go that little bit futher so I've got a bit to play with (IUKWIM).

I'm a size 14 at the moment and would love to be a comfy size 12 if only the cakes, sweets, curries, kebabs, pizza's - the list is endless - would stop tempting me. PLEASE LET ME GET BACK ON TRACK x

its so hard isn't it. I went out Friday night and felt fab but when i got where i was going i felt rubbish! all my friends are slim and i just felt big! it doesn't really help being 5 ft 10 as i always stick out like a sore thumb anyway especially as i won't wear flat shoes! I ended up coming home at 11 and left them all there. You really can do this and imagine how great you will feel when you do. I had a 3 day binge last weekend and i bet i ate way more than you but Tuesday i made myself get back on SS and within 2 days felt much more positive. The problem with the binge for me was it was a downward spiral, once I started i couldn't, and didn't stop! You can do this and think how fantastic you will feel in just a few days! Good luck x

    Hi Maz

Thanks, the sad part is that I did get back to SSing this week - Monday to Thursday and was back into ketosis, then I started again.

Maz, good on you for doing something about your weight but you need a BIG dose of confidence. You can't do anything about being tall apart from chopping your legs off, so that's something you must accept. Tall women look great, and think about how you'll look when you are tall AND slim - people will think you are Jerry Hall lol.

I know I must get back into this diet, but yes I agree, it is very difficult x Thank God for this site

LOL! this site is the only thing that stops me eating sometimes! You look fab in your photo, do you need to lose another 2 stone? How tall are you? I'm only aiming to be a size 14 but a good size 14! not 'a lie down on the bed to do the zip up 14!' We'll get there and there will be blips on the way, I'm already thinking about going out for dinner next weekend to celebrate my wedding anniversary. Tomorrow is another day x

Thanks Maz. That photo was taken on 12th May this year (I know that becasue it was the day I came back from holiday), before I started this diet. I am 5' 5" and I am 11st 9.75lb.

You really must go out on your anniversary. I looked at your profile and you look beautiful in your wedding dress. I have stayed in all through this diet and haven't been out since the night my avatar photo was taken but if I had a husband, or even a boyfriend, my life would be different. I would go out and enjoy myself with limitations. Go out but be good x

thank you, this does tend to take over your life a bit but unfortunately i have no control when i eat. I wouldn't be able to 'be good'., i will eat all the things i miss and then come home and carry on :( . Last weekend i ate 17 packs of crisps during the 3 day binge :( I'll see how i feel on Saturday and have a chat to hubby, he's very supportive and just wants me to be happy. x

For what it's worth... I understand about your 15yr old daughter, up until a few weeks ago I had my 18yr old daughter living with me full time.. but... your daughter doesn't have to have all the unhealthy stuff... and I'm sure if you told her how hard it was and that it was just for a few weeks whilst you got to your size 12,,, she would be very supportive :D

I'm 5ft 4 and now in a size 14 and not really wanting to lose more but have to to meet medical criteria for some surgery... the only advice (apart from binning the food, lol) is to try and spot your danger times and foods and work out some avoidance techniques and strategies... are you motivated by rewards? Perhaps promising you will have an Indian Head massage when you lose another 5 lbs,.. or a beauty treatment of your choice... really hope you find a solution. It isn't easy - especially as you have so little to lose now too :D

Ohh, be careful of that - lemonade is full of sugar!!

Mia: It's probably for the best that you didn't go out. I know from past experience that if you even just have a couple of vodka and diet cokes, not only will you be on the floor (no food to soak up the alcohol!), you'll also wind up feeling less inhibited - this often leads to a pizza/kebab on the way home, as drunken minds don't really give a damn about dieting! :p

Besides, you've done so, so well, so it'd be a shame to break it now. Just think how amazing you'll look when you go out in your new size10s!! :)

Thanks girls. I Can't get back into the diet. Last week I was having a new fitted kitchen and my daughter wanted a pizza. I had 2 slices of that last Thursday and haven't stopped eating since. I got an Indian takeaway last night and ate half and put the rest in the freezer. I came in tonight and cooked that so had 2 halves over 2 nights. I really really with all my heart want to stop, but can't. I would pay someone to actually get my a**e into gear. Help anyone????

Come on Mia. You can do it. You have passed the half way point now so you are on the home straight. I see you have a target of 10st 13lb by 23rd August and you will never make it if you are eating pizza and curry.

If you are finding SS too hard to get back into, start with 790 and ease yourself into SS. At least if you are eating in a controlled way you are less likely to make bad choices.

Come on Mia. You have to do this for yourself.

Thats the kind of message I need. Tell me I am letting myself down, tell me I will regret eating like a gannet, tell me I would be stupid coz I am half way there! I have tried telling myself all these things but I can't get my head round it. I don't want to go on 790 coz I am going on holiday soon so want to lose maximum weight before I go. Right, that's it....... I'm gonna do it again. I MEAN IT

Aww thank you. I am going to get back on track as from now. I need to shift this next 2 stone (gonna be difficult coz got 2 hols booked). Need to lose AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE in 16 days. Dont know how much that will be coz I bet I have put on this week. I am so sad about that so I am imagining how I will feel if my eating spirals out of control. I am praying to get back on track. I am desparate. I am nearly crying coz I wish I was where I was about 3 weeks ago before I went to Poland. Thanks for all the support ladies x
