9st to lose

    Hi,
    At the start of my weight loss journey I had a total of 9st to lose. Currently I have lost 2st5, so another 6st9 to go. For the sake of my mobility I have to lose this weight. I have MS and my mobility is poor - all my specialists keep saying is lose some weight to aid my mobility. Prior to being told I had MS I also had 2 strokes - it was the tests to confirm them that they found I had the MS! I also have asthma and high blood pressure - related to the MS. My ability to exercise is limited.

    i see you're taking xenical so don't forget to have a look over at the xenical forum, everyone is really nice there and there is info about the tablets and stuff.

    1lb at a time, one day at a time, you can do it, just keep posting and checking in, my biggest mistake was going away .even reading posts everyday helps alot.

    Just a little up date. As of today I have lost 2st7. Have had a few wks of gaining!! So have started to write down everything I consume. Seems to be helping.

    You are doing so well. I find it easier to do smaller chunks at a time and I try not to focus on the bigger picture. x

    low fat/low cal/taking xenical
    Another member recommened myfitnesspal(Free Calorie Counter, Diet & Exercise Journal | MyFitnessPal.com), you get a ticker with it, which I'm not using but you can try and record what you eat and also your exercise. It's not perfect by any means but really useful in giving you an idea on what calories you're actually consuming

    well done 2stone gone already. I'm 12lbs down and dream of when I can say I've lost 2stone. It's hard but will be soo worth it so keep going and well done.

    Wow another 2lbs this week.
    Can't believe another 2lb to go until I'll have lost a third of what I wanted to lose :)
    Have been taken off some more of my meds which have side effects of weight gain so could be why I've done so well over the past 2wks.
    I know christmas is coming but as I'm on my own this year I can't see me overeating, especially as I'm not off to anyones for parties etc. But will be enjoying a few drinks on christmas day.

    Can not believe that I'm saying this. But at weigh in today I have lost 2lbs. I had a few treats Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and Boxing Day and have still managed to lose weight. I carried on counting my calories though and in the grand scheme of things didn't go mad like I have done on previous christmases. The 2lbs loss does mean I have now lost a total of 3 stone :) Thats 3 down and 6 to go. So my next target is to have lost a total of 4.5 stone which will mean me being half way.
