To cut a very long story short. I eventually found the strenght to split up from my partner in September after being together for 12 years and have two little boys :family2: and now I am ready to knuckle down to loosing some serious weight!!

I joined slimming world yesterday and I weighed in at 15st 9lbs :sigh: but I am trying to stay positive and take it half a stone at a time!! i dont have much time to exercise at the min as I am working and also in college 2 nights a week and studying the rest of my spare time!!

My major downfall is bread, crips and chocolate. I dont eat breakfasts or dinners I just pick and graze all day so I hope to change all that and hopefully loose some weight so I will have the confidence to take my boys on a sun holiday this year as I havent done in 4 years my youngest son hasnt been on holidays yet

I cooked a gorgeous meal yesterday and today with the help of my 10 year old son who seems to want to get involved with cooking and cant seem to believe that we had healthy turkey burgers and chips yesterday!!

Anyway sorry for the long post. I wish everybody the best of luck in their weightloss journey and hope we can help eachother through it!!

Welcome to Slimming World. You will get lots of support and motivation on here with your weight loss journey.

I get lots of inspiration from just browsing through the recipes and tips.

I too rejoined SW on Boxing day weighing heavier than I have ever been. I have stuck to it religiously since and have seen the pounds going down. So good luck in your weight loss journey.

Hi there!

Good on you for using this to make positive changes in your life. I'm not new to SW, having done it in the past, but just restarted on 1st Jan (how cliched is that!!). I am new to these boards though, and in the few days I have been using them have found they are brilliant for help and support. So welcome, and best of luck with the plan - one of the good things about it is that it is very family friendly. How fab that your 10 year old wants to be involved with cooking? What a great opportunity to teach him about healthy eating!!

Good luck - you can do it!!

Hi and welcome, I joined SW or the 3rd (and final time) last April, like you chocolate and crisps played a big part in the diet but have found that they still can with a few adjustments - Walkers Baked crisps are just 5 syns for a 25g pack and Marks & Spencer count on us chocolate mousse 4 1/2 syns or cadbury light mousse 1/2 fat just 3 syns. That sorts out your crisps and chocolate fix within your daily allowance.

I am embarking on losing my final stone (4 lost already) and really enjoying my journey. This forum has all in information and encouragement you need to reach your goals. Good luck
