A sausage question !!

I want to make a cooked breakfast and i want to know what is the best sausage to use ?

I know quorn sausages r probably free but i want meat!

what sausages do you all use and whats the lowest syn value

hi there joes sausages r free some butchers sell them or u can buy them online along with burgers and some meat. otherwise buy the low fat brands there might be a thread on here saying the syns i will take a look

found a couple for u sainsburies be good to yourself extra lean cumberland sausages 0.5 syns each

tesco lighter choice cumberland sausages 0.5 syns each hope this helps

I'm giving up on both Asda and Morrisons.

Can anyone recommend a specific banger. Not a link or website please but must be meaty, really miss pork/beef sausages:cry:

Joes Sausages look good, but minimum order far too much with postage for to satisy a small craving lol.

If you want a decent meaty sausage (to be fair, I'm pretty happy with the ASDA ones but there you go) your best bet would be a slimming world approved butcher if you have one in your area. There's a sticky on the forum called "a list of SW approved butchers" jump to the last page for the most complete list - although your profile says Gateshead and I dont think there are any listed for there.

Failing that - Joes can be expensive, but I've organised a few group orders in my Slimming World group - order 16 packs or more and its free delivery, 30 packs plus and its 10% discount. Bit of a faff to organise but worth a try (and the sausages I've had so far - Old English and Chilli & Garlic have been lovely)

Tesco finest Venison sausages are very nice, and one syn each - although again a bit pricey (and be careful not to mix up with the venison and red wine version which are about 4-5 syns I think)

Or - if you are into your gadgets (Actifry would suggest yes) buy a mincer and sausage maker and make your own!

Thanks Mandy. I had seen it before on that thread and there is one nearby in Jarrow - I know it well as my ex lived there.

I just tend to shop at supermarkets, lazy and all that lol.

Where might I find Bowyers sausages - can't see them in Asda, Sainsbury or Morrisons and I know they are in the SW book.
