Hi ladies (and gents if any are about)

For the foundationers who don't know, when you go into development you get a scrapbook which you can use anyway you want.

I have just made a 'fat' page in my scrap book, and was wondering who else uses theirs? I know its the sort of thing that won't help everyone but I think it may help me.

I found it quite interesting doing my fat page as I have glued in my before pics and also my 12 weeks in pics, which surprised me a little. The thing is my 12 week pics aren't 'after' pics to me, they are 34 pounds down, but 29 pounds still away from my target, so to me they are still fat. On the journey down yes they are but still fat lol. Everyone I show them to can see a big difference but I just see fat. I did hope I sould see it better in the pictures but I don't, hopefully my final pictures in a month or 2 will show a different me! I have lost almost another stone since my 12 week picture as well so I probably look different again already but I can't really see that either lmao!

I am going to do a 'slim' page too, something to aspire too, but I'm struggling a little to think what to put in. I have 2 small pics of the haircut I am going to get once I've lost a bit more, my other thoughts is just to take pics from catalogues of clothes I may like, but thats tricky as I'm not entirely sure what I want....

Hey ho, its been an interesting hour or so for me anyway, whilst my 2 year old is napping!

    Hi Mags,

I will be in development a week on Sunday, so I have found your post most interesting. I can really identify with your thoughts, I don''t beleive I will be half way there when I end foundation. Then again I haven't set myself a final goal, so who knows.

But not being able to see anything but someone who is still fat is one of my problems. Which I find weird, because I didn't think of myself as fat when I started.

An idea for your scrapbook, which maybe a bit scary or even tortuous, how about foods you are wanting to eat, or recipes you want to try. I have some really weird things going on in my head and can't wait to have brocolli and I want to try tuna steak (I've only had tuna from tin before). It may certainly be something I try when I get my scrapbook! :)

    Hey mags,
I am glad you told me that ! I have been in development for 2 weeks and there is no mention if a scrapbook. That's not like our LLC who is normally on the ball !

How many weeks in did you get this. Sounds like a nice idea!

it was about 2 or 3 weeks in but we may have got it at the start but our LLC was off sick and we had a locum. We just had weigh and chat sessions which actually were just as helpful as anything else!

Tonight we were cutting out pictures and sticking them in of things that sybolised looking after ourselves better, but we didn't have much time so we're doing more next week.

I really do need to look after myself better....

Saggy skin was mentioned and she says skin improves over about 6 months or so once you are finished, will never be perfect but will be better than it is. She has a great sense of humour and said 'I had the skin of a 95 year old, now its the skin of a 65 year old'..... she's only in her 40's rofl.

Seriously I'm glad I have a good LLC as I have seen on here they are not all like her.

Maybe towards the end I will start and do foody stuff but I don't think I could cope with it yet, especially as I had a bit of a lapse recently.

That made me realise its 4 weeks I have been in development, 1st 2 weeks after Xmas were a locum. It also feels like now we are off Foundation that people are mucking around. I was the only one to turn up this week. Got a lot of individual attention, fab counsellor ! maybe she is waiting for more folks before introducing it ?

Will give her a nudge anyway !

Saggy skin - OMG its the one thing making me a bit frantic ! I hope it improves !

Hey Melissa, the way I see it is I'd rather be slim with saggy skin than fill it back up with fat! At least I look better with clothes on, even if I look a fit funny naked (sorry tmi rofl)

It will be great if it even improves 25% for me.

Don't let the failing attitudes of your classmates influence you, hang in there and enjoy the individual attention!

Maybe some counsellors don't like the idea of the scrapbooking, mine admits during her training she really just thought it was stupid, then she realised it could help some people and chose to use it. Some of our class use it and some don't so maybe your LLC thinks it wouldn't be your thing?

Saggy skin....mmh I like a lot better how I look with my clothes on than off that's for sure ! But my neck and throat are also saggy and its horrible. Everyone says I look 10 years younger but when I was 5 stone+ heavier I was all pink, round and wrinkle free :D I know I need to give it a bit of time to sort itself out.

My class mates...mmhhh, they all gave in over Xmas and don't think they can get back on track. Ending foundation on 22nd December wasn't the best of timing but that's how it worked. I won't give in though :) For one thing I can't afford to muck around at £66 per week ! I also want to lose as much as I can before I move to Cornwall and have to swap to CD.

Just replied about your hair cut on another thread, good for you, go for it girl !:D
