Anyone else weigh at home on a thursday- wanna post?

hi love reading your post you are all doing great,i am doing sw,i go to a group and wi on a wed i dont rearly stay for all class i just get weighed and then go ,dont no how much longer i will be able to go to class as it is £5 every week and i carnt rearly aford it, i have lost 11lb since i stated 31/2/2013 ,i still need to loose nearly 3st but it is cominig of ever so slowly and i am sticking to the plan 100% i would love to join your group if you all wouldnt mind, i am in desprate need of some suport ,and it is a bit difficult for me on this plan as i have to cook diffrently for my oh as he wont eat anythink i eat,so sorry for going on just glad to chat to some one, good luck to you all :confused:

Hey linmac! - yippee you found us. Welcome welcome, it's great to have you and we will give you all the support you need or want. Me and dubs here are completely mad ( sorry dubs) and enjoy silly little challenges. It keeps us going in the right direction and gives us a giggle. Sometimes we do meals around the world and cook dishes from different countries, sometimes we just count fruit and veg. It all gives a different and interesting slant on what would otherwise be an easy rut to fall in.

Any help you need just shout. I've been doing this for years - well why am I not skinny then ? I hear you say. Well cos my willpower is the problem , not the eating plan. Plus I've lost, had a baby, lost , had a baby and now I'm just a piggy. Lol.
Great to have you here. You've found my diary, which I'm not so good at updating as I tend to rant on here more. Check out my recipe thread too cos we've all put some recipes on there.
What are your favourite meals? Are there any meals you need help with ?

Right dubs - pressures on! New girls in town lol! We gotta behave and get our buts in gear.
Really glad the house is coming together but not so good about jons arm that's pants! Pups must be missing you.

Hang on to that blooming job , cos we have food and kitchen gadgets to buy. Lol

All fine and dandy here thanks honey, really enjoying the plan at the moment, love ploughing through my recipes- I'm so sad - see this is what's going to happen to you when you're married And have kids and get old , no socialising just plain old recipe trawling.

My best friend does ww and we are such Yoyo feeders that we Are now texting each other our meals so we don't stray.


Planned all my meals for this week . Just cooking scotch eggs for tomorrow's lunch. And preparing tomorrows dinner as I'm out at a school concert so won't be home to do everyone's dinner in time.

Breakfast today - weetabix (heb)
Lunch - cheese and mushroom omelette (hea) , ww raspberry mallow (2.5 syns)
Dinner - toad in the hole ( using packet mix so it can be synned (5.5) and joes sausages - free) mash and veg and syn free onion gravy - oh yum.

Recipe for gravy will goon thread at some point tonight lol. Xx

I know.. Its a disaster isn't it?! The builders keep laughing when they leave in the evening, they can't believe we're still staying there!!!
Its not been that bad all along.. Just maybe since last Wednesday, maybe even Thursday.. And then we were away so its not been that bad...
Tho no cooking was done last night.. We had take out.. There was no way I could cook in that!!! ha ha...
If its as bad this evening I'm gona go to my Dad's, cook our dinner, and bring it home n have it.
Its only that bad now coz they new rads have been getting fitted in there so they've had to start pulling and dragging everything around and they're doing something to the wall that will separate the kitchen from the dining room.. I dunno what they're doing but basiccally putting a wooden from on, covering that with "2 by 1" (whatever that is!!!) and then plastering over that.. The wall is in a state ATM. There were 2 windows that the previous owners blocked up. But whatever they used had buckled n bubbled out. So they've to re-do that and cover the existing door into the kitchen as we've made a new one...
 
hi pebs and everyone thanks ever so much for a warm wellcome, went to wi tonight lost 2lb,was made up but i thought i would have got to my stone, i am sticking to the plan 100% but it seems to be coming of slowly this as been my highest loss for a while, just wanted to no if any plan is better to follow for a better weight loss, i dont exercise much do to pain in my hips,i also tend to eat late at night as i dont get all that hungry if a day,and was wandering if you ad any recipes ideas for one as oh doesnt eat what i eat, any advice you could give me to try improve my weight loss, i would rearly be made up, sorry for going on so much, i think you are all doing great thanks for everythink

So I'm the same this week, I had a couple lb gain at the beginning of the week which I can't explain as I've stuck to plan . But it had gone again by today's weigh in so I've lost but not from last week.

Linmac well done on that loss. 1 more lb to go. Keep at it. I will sort you out some meal ideas no worries.

Pebs I can't wait for a kitchen so I can get stuck in cooking new and exciting things.

Came home lady night to a warm house. Hot running water. Working washing machine. And a "clean" (as can beEUR) kitchen space!!! Was so happy!!
Was straight up prepping lunch for today :)
Still no cooker yet but was a happy lady

Well, I was OOBER bold last night and ate a WHOPPING 56.5 syns.. Oopsies... :)
But its done now and I've weighed in and STS since Tuesday.. Haven't weighed in a few weeks and was up 3 on Tuesday so am currently at a horrible 12st 3.25LB... I will get into the late/mid 11's before end of April!!! Its been a bad kitchen week this week and TOTM started yesterday too so got the bloat from that...
Pebs STS is good considering your recent great losses...
 
Pebs... Can we have a little exercise challenge??? I need soemthing to kick me up the bum to get me going...
I dunno.. Like, running up n down the stairs for the duration of the add breaks during the soaps or soemthing.. Something small to get me going again..
Also, puppy shud b home today so walks will be resuming.. Rain, hail, sleet or snow... And there's allot of rain here ATM...

So, first challenge - Saturday and Sunday are 'stride it out ' days . So I would like us to walk somewhere, however short the walk but something that you've not been doing recently. Sunday walk a little further or a little faster.

Monday - advert challenge. Whilst watching tv, during the first advert break, jog on the spot for one entire advert. Repeat for 3 ad breaks over one night

Tuesday- step into Tuesday. So it's the stairs challenge , step up and down the first stair for 3 mins ( sounds easy but try it! )

Wednesday wake up shake up- a glass of hot water and a slice of lemon first thing, 5 sit ups

Thursday either a walk or a jog

Friday - thank god it's Friday work your thighs day - stairs challenge again, this time try to double your time and add a can of beans in each hand



Linmac - here's your first solo meal


Cheese onion and potato pasty
------------------------------------
Serves one
Free on green and extra easy

1 wholemeal pitta. ( healthy extra b)
1 onion chopped
1 chicken or veg stock cube with 60 ml water
1 large potato peeled and chopped
1 health extra allowance of grated cheese ( healthy a)

Frylight a pan, add onion and cook until softened
Meanwhile boil potatoes in water and stock
When potatoes soft, mash with a fork, add onion and a little more water if needs. Add cheese.
Should resemble a purée
Toast pitta fora minute to allow to slit easily
Stuff with mixture
Brush with beaten egg and cook for 10 mins or until brown.

Linmacs recipe number 2-


Pizza topped chicken
--------------------------

1 chicken breast
1 tbsp tomato purée
1/2 small onion
2 slices ham
1/2 tsp oregano dried
1 hea of cheese

If the breast is quite bulky then slit lengthways but not all the way through, so you can lay the breast open like a butterfly. Spread the tomato purée over the chicken, add the oregano and then the chopped onion, & ham. Finally add the grated cheese salt and pepper and bake until cooked through.


Substitute for any pizza toppings of your choice remembering to syn things like pepperoni. Olives etc
