Anyone else weigh at home on a thursday- wanna post?

Evening ladies!

I'm currently cooking BBQ chicken, sweet potato wedges and coleslaw, and I'm sooooo hungry! So over the weekend I decided I'm not going to take the new job *sobs* I would be taking a £7000 a year decrease and just can't afford it right now so looks like ill be stuck where I am for a while longer!

How's everyone's days been? I have been good food wise just some savoury rice and lettuce. Oh a Jordan's breakfast bar. Xxx
 
It's a tough decision bean but no brainer when it comes to money.


Lovely day out shopping with frank. Except we had to actually pay 20p for a wee in the shopping centre.

Red day

Breakfast - milky coffee ( HEA 250ml semi skimmed)

Lunch - ham and egg with a 1 syn dollop of mayo in 2 mini marks and Spencer's wholemeal subs (1HEB) and a satsuma

Dinner. - New York chicken made with chicken breast, bacon, cheese ( 40g reduced fat cheddar 1HEA) and syn free BBQ
sauce, veg, and a 230g baked Potato (1HEB) with a laughing cow ex light (1 syn)


Just made some carrot and coriander soup and some red pepper, chilli , tomato and chicken soup for tomorrow and Wednesdays lunch.

Went to market yesterday and bought a farmyard full of meat. I bought
24 pork loin chops for £20,
20 chicken breasts for £20 ,
5lb bacon for £10,
60 sausages for £5,
16 minted lamb chops for £10
and a huge lump of sirloin steak which they cut into 20 thick steaks for £30. Just lucky I've freezer space.


So I'm planning menus tonight along with the damage limitation DATDEB Menu.

Working a half day tomorrow yippee xx

BBQ sauce for New York chicken ( syn free)




1 onion
8fl oz passata
1 tsp mild chilli powder
3 tbsp sweetener
4 tbsp balsamic vinegar
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1/2 tsp mustard powder
Salt & pepper

Sauté the chopped onion and add chilli, fry until soft, add other ingredients and simmer for 10 mins then blitz with a blender if you wish or leave as it is.
Serve hot or cold and is freezer friendly.

I pop my chicken breast into oven for about 8-10 mins then add the slice of bacon over it and a tbsp of sauce, then return to oven for 10 mins then I add more sauce and finally after a few more mins I add 40g reduced cheese and pop back into oven to melt, its gorgeous .

Today's meals - red day

B- bran flakes ( heb) , milk from allowance ( hea) , banana
L- tomato, chilli, red pepper & chicken soup, mini sub ( 3 syns )
D- minted lamb chops, carrots, peas (4 syns) cheesy mustard jacket potato (hea) (heb) mint gravy.
The potatoes were really cheesy and tasty



RED PEPPER, TOMATO, CHILLI & CHICKEN SOUP ( recipe from mrs Wilsoncroft)
------------------------------------------------------------

Tin of chopped tomatoes
One red pepper
One red chilli or chill flakes
1 piece of chicken
1 chicken Oxo cube
150ml water
1 tbsp sweet chilli sauce ( need to syn this)

Put everything in a pan and simmer for 20 minutes. Add salt and pepper for extra flavour, blitz or leave chunky .


CHEESY MUSTARD POTATOES
--------------------------------------
1 jacket potato
1 egg yolk
1 tsp mustard powder
30g cheese ( grated)

Preheat oven to gas 6

Spray a potato with fry light and rub in, then roll in salt
Cut a big cross in the centre and bake for 1 hour
Mix the egg yolk with the mustard powder and cheese.

When cooked, carefully prise potato open a little and scrape it out into cheese mix.
Stir it thoroughly and carefully scoop back into potato skin
Bake for a further 10 mins to brown

To be honest Pebs, I'm slipping a bit - no major badness, just a little loosening of everything!! I'm just not quite 100% - like, today was supposed to be a red day - but it even started bad - Claire refused to eat her Cheerios, wanted weetabix instead do I swapped with her (she had said she wanted weetabix but Martin wasn't listening.....) for break at work I had muller light and banana, lunch was a hexB sandwich and 2 mandarins. Then I had a handful of nuts at my mother's and a bite out of joe's banana. Dinner was pizza chicken with roasted pepper and baby potatoes. Then my evening snack - teddy bear crisps and a glass of coke. So actually, yes, quite a lot of badness.......

Morning, gosh its Wednesday again which means weigh day again tomorrow. I'm optimistic that I should be back to the per 2lb gain last week, fingers crossed, I've been 100% , so hopefully . Just need to cram in a bit more water and some body magic.

Off for school run then work in a minute so I'm planning bran flakes milk from allowance and banana for breakfast when I get there, chorizo frittata for lunch and pets chicken and pepper curry for dinner.

I think we need a burst of energy tonight gang so it's ' hit the stairs ' and give me 3 mins of bottom step aerobics .

Good Morning everyone!!!

so today i have a jordans cereal bar (6 syns), for lunch savoury rice and for dinner sweet and sour pork (4 syns) with egg fried rice.

I definitely need a burst of energy im absolutely shattered! plus im in work on my own all day so i think i may find a little corner for a snooze!! Im really hoping for a lb off tomorrow! my scales dont do 1/2s so its either that or sts!

Well tomorrow is 1st WI and yesterday I had a total meltdown and ate rubbish! Ho hum..... But hopefully will still get a loss anyway as have been 100% the rest of the time :L

Breakfast - bran flakes (1HEB) with milk from allowance (1HEA) & banana, milky coffee

Lunch - chorizo frittata, (3.5 syns for chorizo) (1/2 HEA for cheese) salad and salad cream light (1 syn), 2 dark rye ryvita (1/2 HEB) 28g chilli Philly (2syns), M&S count on us toffee mousse (4 syns)

Dinner - chicken & pepper curry, cauliflower rice, garlic mini sub (1/2 HEB)


2 HEA'S, 2 HEBS, 10.5 SYNS

Hey all, my touch and go week continues - red day,

B - alpen light
L - hex b sandwich, 2 mandarins
D- chicken salad with synned coleslaw

Snacks - muller light, banana

I'm not expecting a loss this week - the scales showed a 2lb gain after Friday night (mad how a couple of hours can undo a whole weeks work!!) so shifting that will be the best I can hope for......

New week starts tomorrow!

Hi beck yes I have a recipe page called 'pebbles and the gangs great grub recipes ' if you're on the computer then the link is on the bottom of my posts but if your on the phone etc it doesn't appear so search for the page than save it. There's loads of recipes on there . Xx

Here's last nights tho coming up

BUTTERNUT SQUASH AND SAGE RISOTTO
SERVES 3

1st chop a bns and roast in oven with some sage (can use dry sage)for about 30 mins or until soft

then in a pan fry an onion and a clove of garlic.when thats all softened add 300g risotto rice and keep topping up with some vegetable stock. I used 2 veg stock cubes and a 2 and half pints of water and kept topping up.
Add salt and pepper

when bns is done , mash half and put it in with your rice and this will turn it a lovely yellowey orangey colour,keep topping up with stock untill rice is cooked,then when all stock is absorbed dish out and put remaining bns on top.

also really nice if grate hea of cheese on top.

Thanks for this, I made the bacon and butternut squash one out of one of the books, was very yummy but I had to cook it for longer than they said. Will give yours a whirl next, trying to get more adventurous with my meals at the mo. x
 
Happy Monday gang . Dull and dreary day here for my day off . I'm off to Kent for the day with OH our usual Monday jaunt out.

Had a good weekend but a few too many unexpected syns yesterday but not too bad.

Made pulled pork and BBQ sauce and coleslaw with actifry fries last night - everyone loved it and well worth the effort. Then had a caramel toffee marks and Spencer's count on us mousse for 4 syns .
