    Hi All,

I want to buy a bike for commuting to work.. Believe Marin, Specialized or Trek are the best. Which one should I get. Think about £450 to spend on.

    Anyone know?

Sorry Ollie not a clue mate. Mines a cheapy from Halfords. It sits in the shed gathering dust lol. Never been on it, but was desperate to get one. Told my husband that I needed one NOW,so he got me one on his way home from work. That was summer 2007 :8855:

    Laurens knowledge on bikes....

    1. They have 2 wheels (mine would have stabilisers)
    2. Riding on the road is scary - dont do it
    3. You can get pretty pink baskets and sparkly tassels for the handlebars :D
    4. You get puffed out rising round on one...

anythin else you need to know feel free to ask, im a fountain of knowledge ;)

I have a mountain bike and it's awesome...if you are planning to use it offroad as well?

Mine's a Chris Boardman comp £538 or thereabouts...(it was the best bike for what I need and has many top of the range features for less than the top price)

Marin and SPecialized are familiar names (my beau is or was an avid mountain biker and he mentions these two names a lot)
