Hi does anyone know if you can use arrowroot to thickening sauces on atkins. I have read a teaspoon will thicken 250ml of liquid, which would give a carb content of 2, at max I would eat half that amount so carb wise it is probably ok. But I can't find what is the source of arrowroot, is it plant or grain, does it have gluten in it?
I have true Xanthan gum in the past but hate the slum texture of it.
