Asda Chick Pea Dahl

Has anybody been able to do home made chick pea Dahl, that tastes anything like th tinned one from ASDA? I love the tinned version and have tried various recipes to replicate it without success.

Any ideas would be appreciated it.

I'd like to know this too as asda in Northern Ireland doesn't seem to sell it:-(
