I remember someone, I think it was Starlight, popping on here saying she'd had this product and it was free and really tasty.

I went and got some today because it was on offer, and they had changed the packaging, so because I am the suspicious type I have just gone on syns online, and it's NOT FREE!! it's 5.5 syns per packet. Ditto the Pork Shanks in mustard and honey, 3.5 syns each.

Lamb shanks still free though, even though they are much higher in fat and calories. How does THAT work, please??!!

This is something I had a real issue with when I was doing SW, the constant changing of the goal posts. Things going from free to Synned. If you find a Syn free favourite and eat it regularly how are you supposed to know when it stops becoming Free and has to be counted. 5.5 syns when you think its free could totally ruin your weeks work

I know, I agree! I've been dying to try this since you championed it but it's always been a fiver a pack, today it was three quid so I thought i'd finally have some as a treat! Gutted cos I should really make my own syn free beef stew and save the syns. :-(

I do think though that it's more to do with the recipe changing in this case than SW changing the goalposts, but agreed, still very annoying! :(

I know, need a full can, add a tin of carrots, some mushrooms and onions. Big fat stew nom nom.

The M&S tinned stewed steak is by far the nicest but at almost 3 quid per tin, is treat time only! :-(

The Tesco one is ok but it's only 50p cheaper than Marksies, which is much nicer. :)
