If I used unsmoked bacon, with all the fat cut off and cooked until totally dry would that be ok or not?
 
Bacon is not listed in my book so I've chosen not to use it. I use turkey bacon or grill slices of lean ham. However, I have seen that others use the lean bacon medallions.
 
Bacon is very salty, and even when dry cooked contains quite a bit of fat.
It would very possibly slow your weight loss

If I was away from home and if it was the only protein food available I'd eat the bacon.

I wouldn't buy or cook it myself, because there are other tasty options available that won't slow my loss.
 
Just wondered coz got some in the fridge pre-dukan that needs using up!

If it is white, give it to the birds, if wholemeal, freeze it.

You are advised to eat 2 slices of wholemeal later in the diet, just take a couple of slices out per day.
 
Its white so gonna have some pretty happy birdies! It's already been frozen and sitting on the side since mid last week, it's probably mouldy anyway! I dont like white bread but OH used to eat it!
