    Hello lovely people,
Just wanted to ofload to those that know how it feels...having a bad day. Felt so tired when I woke up this morning & the whole day physically has been a struggle. Plus had to go to a meeting where everyone scoffing biccies (my fave choc & mint ones in green wrapper) and then had to go to tesco to get food for a lunchtime meeting tomorrow & it was excruciating, nearly cried in the middle of the isle & so wanted to just eat something! I didnt & havent but have a migraine (first one yet) so just feel crap. I thinkthis stems from WI last weds when I lost 2ibs again and really hope that the same doesent happen again this week. Sorry to moan but know you lot will understand how tough it is at times. I really dont know how people do this cooking for people! Just shopping is bad enough.
Bizarrly I dont mind watching people eating, quite like it actually, but shopping is horrendous! My boobs are also really sore (& my tummy was tender last week)...not a PMT kind of sore ...anyone else had this?
Thanks for listening! I'm not going to give up (had a huge row withmyself in tesco on this note!!) but finding it incredibly tough. Think I may just be tired....

well done for staying strong and not giving in to eating tho, that's great.. Have you taken anything for your migrane??

Is there any chance you could be pregnant? ( just asking from your comment on the sore boobs?)

Thanks Geri....I think (from vague recollection!!) that you have to have sex or something like that to be pregnant?!! If my memory is right then its a definate no! Working on it though! Dont think I'm due on but who knows with this diet - I have an implant & dont usually come on at all but was on for 3 weeks....

Oh hun - sorry you're having a bad day! Those mint and choc biscuits sound like torture (I could taste them as you described them!)

Thing is - it's natural to have bad days - it's good to watch what happens - it sounds to me like your rebellious child is having a good old pout and you're being a bit of a stroppy parent to yourself. Do something nice for yourself when you get home...something tiny and loving and give yourself lots of strokes. Days like today are important for learning how to look after yourself without resorting to food to soothe you. So in a strange way - it's a very successful day!

And don't apologise for the whinging (which you're not at all) if there's one place on earth that's happy for you to have a big old whinge, it's right here!

Aww ISOM, I hope you feel better soon, you poor thing.
I've been there also, I didn't realise it was PMT, I was so focused on the diet & then the totm came up & bit me in the bum!
My boobs were very sore this time also, infact I was nearly crying in pain.
I kept strong though & abstained, I hope you do to.
Remind yourself why you are doing the diet & pamper yourself or go on a shopping spree to make yourself feel happier.
If you shop for work again, could you buy yourself a non food item at the same time?

Poor you ISOM, you have had a rotten day but well done for coping with it. Re the cooking/shopping thing - I've been doing that from day 1 as usual and I think it's actually been helpful as I got used to handling food that wasn't for me pretty quickly (no choice really!) and I'm hoping it will help me in the future to resist temptation. I walk round the supermarket totally divorced from the food I'm buying and saying to myself "That's not for me." Do you think it might be worth "practising" being around food (shopping/cooking) on purpose at some stage when you're feeling strong? If you can "immunize" yourself a little then it might not be so bad when you have days like today. Just a thought - maybe not a very good one! Do look after yourself and get plenty of sleep - you really need it on this diet:). I hope next WI will cheer you up. You've done brilliantly so keep going!

Really do feel for you having a bad day like that. Bloody awful when you're suffering from all sorts all at once.... I'm tireder (is that a word? Don't look right!) than ever before today and that alone is bad enough so to be tired, have sore boobs and have a low day (and shop!) well you deserve to be hugged and pampered.

Go get yourself a lovely long bath, grab a book and curl up on the sofa for an hour.

Ditto everything above, and big :hug99::hug99::hug99::hug99: for you. Odd, I posted on a very similar feeling, a bit earlier this pm. I too have been crying, starving hungry and exhausted. The advice I have had has been the same as yours - -warm bath and realy bed.

ISOM, tomo is another day, as they say, and the blues will be behind us. We'll be ready to face a new day, with the knowledge we are one step closer to our goal!!

    lots of luv

Aw, sorry you're feeling rubbish at the moment, InSearchOfMe.

It can be very lonely doing LL. Close family and friends don't really understand (even if they are sympathetic). I eventually learned to do what Goombagirl suggests, 'divorce' myself from shopping for food and cooking it. "It's not for me" was my mantra a lot of the time. Soon, it did become easier. But it was isolating for a time.

Although I was often buoyed up by good weightlosses and looser clothes, I also took refuge in reading my green book and trying to work out my thoughts. Something I wasn't used to doing as I was more familier with 'blanking out' emotions and eating to forget or ignore them. It was a hard lesson to learn.

I knew that if I really wanted to recover, I had to bite the bullet and get on with it. I was encouraged to keep going by thinking starkly of the alternatives. Sinking into a deep depression and back into a severe eating disorder was my alternative future. I didn't want that.

Now I am very far away, but crooked thoughts are waiting in the wings to grab me back at any time ISOM. Can you find your lever to encourage you to keep going when it gets tough? What will be the consequence if you give up? Can you bear to chose that path?

    Food for thought, indeed...

Totally agree with all the comments. Sometimes going to bed is the best thing!

When I have to go the supermarket or make food for other people I only buy stuff that I don't like!!

People think it's funny but it really does work it also helped me with the disassociation thing like AJ says.

Hope tomorrow is a better day.

    Hi all,
Thanks again for support. Feeling better today and there are a number of reasons why I felt so low; tired; the 2ibs last week (I know its a loss but 2 ibs twice is so disheartening) & being faced by food again. Just hope I've lost a decent amount this week although can feel it coming off....I know AJ that the alternative is dire & really dont wantto go there; I can have food at the end and its just taking it a day at a time to get to that stage...
Thanks again & big hugs all!
