Bleeding gums!

Noticed from another thread on here that people are suffering from bleeding gums... I've been really suffering with this too and my gums are also quite painful.

So... is this a normal side effect?

And why?

I've got bleeding gums too! Never had this before and never had any problems with my teeth.

WOuld be intersted to know why is happens?
