Breastfeeding and Slimming World

Yay 2lb off. Well I'm now the smallest I've been since I was about 4 months pregnant! If I loose 2lb a wk every wk I'll be very happy and I'll definitely be per-pregnancy weight by my son's birthday. I hope I can keep it up x

Well im sittin here feelin like a fatty lol

I had chicken nuggets at 1.5 syns each beans and sw chips followed by magic sw pancakes with tbs of golden syrup for 2syn and feel like i been naughty but only had 11syns and heb!

my new weightloss journey!! start:: 13s 12lb current:: 13s 12lb.... 54lbs to go!!

Your meal sound fab and naughty but obviously not that naughty. Are the magic pancakes nice? I want to try them c

Can anyone tell me if we're entitled to anythig extra for bf? Consultant never said and didn't get round to asking yet as I go to a super busy group and often have to bring my LO. hope I'm not repeating, I actually did a search for bf and hundreds of seemingly unrelated threads came up.

My c gave me a little book. But basically it is as follows:-
If baby is up to 2months= 3 extra hexa/b (preferably 1or2 to be hexa, same for all ages)
2-3months=4
4-6months (if starting to wean)=3
4-6months (if exclusively bfing)=4
Over 6months when weaning=1

Been crying loads girls today.
Phoned childrens centre support cuz tj still dont seem happy on boob n i am still sore n he is 6 weeks today. Been plodding on knowing of his tongue tie but today its hit me that he isnt happy n im so sore maybe its time to get support as at 6 weeks it should be better and its not :,( waitibg for lactation specialist to phone me back

Ah that's not good. Have they looked at his tongue tie? There's a very simple procedure where they snip the tongue tie and the babies are in and out within a couple of hours. I'm on a course for peer support training and we were talking about tongue ties today. One of the women on the course had the procedure done on her baby and she said it sorted the problem out straight away. Do you go to a bf group? At ours the midwife is brilliant and she's the one that does the referrals for the procedure
 
We have baby group that a breast buddy supports n it was her i phoned at childrens centre today also had en email back from la leche leaugue and it is all adding up to tongue tie. Got refered to lactation specialist and got appointment monday for it

I hope the next few days go quickly for you. I really feel for you. A few of my friends had problems with bfing and I saw what it did to them. It's a lovely experience when all is going well but it can devastate people when there are problems.
At least your on the right track to get help.
Hopefully you'll have some answers very soon x
 
awe Leeanne, thought you'd got TJs tongue tie done already, can't believe you've put up with pain for 6 wk OUCH! Hope you get it sorted soon, nothing wrong with a bit of guidance from bf specialists even if its just for praise!!!
Well just come back from a wk in the Lakes for my sisters wedding where we all stayed in a huge cottage.....have ate loads of crap then got a stomach bug! Feel ok now just hope i've not done any damage weight wise. It was good to eat some fruit today lol. Did feel a bit left out of things really i was pretty much stuck to the sitting room bf'ing whilst people came and went and then i couldn't drink or stay up late so missed out on a lot of fun, got a bit pee'd off and upset not helped by the bug i had, glad to be home and back in a routine and SW, though i will be having naughty pancakes since i have the mix lol

Hi ladies

Plz can I join? I'm exclusively breastfeeding my 18 week old son & have been on sw since start of January. I go to class but find this site great for ideas & motivation. I'm doing pretty well on the weight loss (well, I think so!) & am 7.5lb off target but just want to say hi to all the other breastfeeding mummies. I'm loving loving loving all the extra HEXs - not sure how I'll fare on sw when I start weaning him! How long is everyone hoping to feed for? Xx
