burgers

This is my recipe:

Classic burger
Serves 6

1 slice brown bread
500g lean mince
1 garlic clove
1 tsp chopped thyme
1 tbsp tomato puree
1 tbsp dijon mustard
1 egg
Black pepper
Dash tabasco

Choose your own bun for around 4 or 5 extra pp for these if you like...

Whizz bread in blender to make crumbs (or just use your hands)

Place all remaining ingredients in large mixing bowl and, adding the breadcrumbs, mix with your hands so it all comes together. Make into 6 patties.

Heat oil or frylight in a pan & cook patties for 3-5 mins on each side.

Serve on buns or however you like. :)

This is around 3-4pp or so for the burger depending how big or small they are and on how lean your mince is.

Turkey burgers are more WW friendly and lovely.

I just use a pack of turkey mince
Squeeze of lemon
tablespoon of grated parmesan
teaspoon of veg stock
1 slice of bread - for breadcrumbs

Combine all the above ingrediants shape into little balls in your hands (you will need to coat your hands in flour otherwise mixture sticks to your hands) - then flour the worktop and flatten balls with hands.

Spray an oven tray with frylight and put burgers into oven at 180 degrees for about 20 mins turning once - they will begin to brown slightly once ready.

These are lovely ;o)

Im not deffo on the points as I've lost the piece of paper that I worked out previously but I'm sure they were about 1 or 1.5 point per burger depending on size of pack of turkey mince and how many burgers you make out of it - hope this helps :D
