calories on atkins???

Theoretically no, you don't need to limit calories. They will be limited by the fact that ketosis has the effect - at least to begin with - of decreasing appetite, and also because fat is very satisfying so most people will tend to eat less naturally.

As long as you're losing weight there's no particular need to pay attention to calories. If, however, you stop losing weight for a period of weeks, it's worth doing a "reality check" to make sure you aren't overeating - 1500-1800 calories per day is what the book recommends for women on Atkins.

Hope that helps! :)
