'Chasing Butterflies' - Team 7

Fairplay Guru, most impressive given the BBQ binge. Glad to hear you're back on track again, its 0.77% btw. I'm a sad idiot, I'm addicted to minis when i should be going to bed now to have a sleep before my night shift......There is something quite lovely about having a little snooze in the day, even if you do have to put up with 12hrs of chaos after it!
Had a major 'i need to eat something moment not so long ago', don't know why, even had to chant 'i will not eat this' as i walked with DD's leftover pasta to the bin. Didn't cheat, so feeling smug. :DSatisfied by half a peanut bar at last. Off to bed zzzzz......

Well done Guru on your 2 lb weight loss....that's brilliant considering. I just don't know how you can just jump off the wagon and then climb back on again....I know I couldn't do that....I reacon if I fell off the wagon I just would not be able to get back to the headspace I'm in now and get back on again....with me it has to be all or nothing..just started my 12th week of SSing and this will be me right through til' the end I think...or at least til' there is only a stone or two to shift. I am very surprised I have managed to stay focussed...but can honestly say not one piece of food has passed my lips in the last 11 weeks. I just hope I get to the 4 stone mark by my WI next Thursday. Girls please keep your fingers crossed for me!
Speak to you all soon.

Nicki, I'm just so impressed you haven't nibbled anything in 11 weeks. i would love to be able to make such a claim but sometimes the urge to taste just kills me. You must be so disciplined. Very good luck for the next WI. I am aiming for 100% at the moment though. Its funny, for the first 2 week i didn't nibble and felt fine with that. As soon as i started the odd taste, my urge to do it more increased- slight addictive qualities being exposed there methinks.....Talking to myself a lot when in the ktchen to stop myself reaching for anything. Look bloody mad though!
Freezing to death at work at the moment. Can't wait to go back home and put the heating on and have a nice choc-mint shake. xx

Nicki, just realised, aren't you going to have to eat next week, week 12? xx

Hi Butterfly,
Yes...I am supposed to eat next week (week 13)..but I have discussed this with my CDC and although she would like me to move to SS+ for at least a week she said that she cannot force me to do this and as she doesn't live with me she cannot force me to do this. I know I am not strong enough to introduce a meal for a week and then start SS again..so I have decided to just SS for at least another 12 weeks. My CDC has talked me through the NICE guidelines and tried to convince me to have a meal, but, I am adamant that I won't be able to do this.
My CDC appreciated my honesty and said that she wouldn't be able to tell if I was eating or not and said that I am not the first person who has done this and won't be the last....I figure considering I have a lot to lose (at least another 6 - 7 stone) it won't do me any harm. If I was close to target then I would consider SS+. On lighter Life you just have the packs until you reach goal..and you don't need to introduce a meal. It is only a recommendation that you introduce a meal anyway I believe. I guess I just want this soooo much. My body has enough fat to live off of for at least another 6 months I reacon!

Don't blame you Nicki, you've done so well in the last 12 weeks, it seems stupid to put yourself in the position where you may struggle, wait until you have to, or your head had got round to the idea. My cdc said it won't hurt, its only really to stop people getting too freaked about eating but realistically most of the people on here are testament to the fact that that isn't really a long term issue, we know we need to eat- just when we are slimmer!
I still have a few weeks left till i have to eat, started reading up on threads about recipes so i can prepare myself as much as possible, truth be known, i do also have almost a 5 days supply of cd from when i have missed the odd shake here and there- (yes i know that is sooooo bad, i don't do it anymore) but if i struggle i can just revert to shakes for a day, especially if at work. My cdc's pretty easygoing so shouldn't imagine she'd be too 'strict' with me!
Still doing ss 100% and feeling a bit chuffed i am managing to stop the nibbling, its a horrible habit to break once you have started.
Last night was first night at work for 2.5 weeks and quite a few people commented that i'd lost loads of weight and were really nice, felt fab. Some remained sceptical about the diet but i just spout at them about research into vlcd's being healthy and they shut up, mainly cos i think their scepticism is based in inorance, not facts. Hope you all ok? Hope health probs are being treated and you're not in pain Claire and Sarah, hugs xx

Hi girls,
Bit peeved as seem to have come to a bit of a standstill with weight loss over the weekend, my scales had me 5lb loss last Friday, but still reading the same today. I do wonder whether being at work overnight Thurs made me seem to have lose more than i had, although i haven't glugged quite as much water as usual, so that could be it. Who knows!!?? Anyway, enough whinging, I'll drink like a fool and hope it'll show by wed. Its still a loss so best not to complain really. Still got some food demons lurking in my head at the moment, just feel tempted really easily, managing to ignore though!
Hope you all ok, good luck with any WI's today.
Off to snooze, in work again tonight.....worse luck.
Take care all xx

I had another blow out weekend. I will be glad when all my socialising is over! So my scales are the same as my last weigh in and my next one is on Thursday :(

I need my willpower back!

Hi ladies........Im back lol!

Well after a crappy couple of weeks of worrying Im back on form, Im not going to worry until I have something to worry about! I have another test booked but just going to take it in my stride. I stayed 100% but struggled with my water but have lost 3lbs this week and 2lbs last week so not bad all things considered. So Im now in the 14 stone range lightest I have been for ages!!!!! Hope we are all well and I hope you feel better soon Claire xxx

Sarah xxxxxx

Hi Sarah,
Welcome back hun. Glad you're coping ok, can't be that easy to focus on ss when you've got so much going on. Well done on the losses though, very impressive under the circumstances! Must feel great to get into that new stone bracket, especially one you haven't seen for a long time- what a boost! On one hand though, continuing your weight loss can only improve your health for the better- and the fertility treatment being open to you are a major incentive to keep on track. If i struggle i remind myself of all those reasons i wanted this in the first place. I continue to find that the water affects my losses so much, 2.5 litres is just never enough.

Guru,
Sorry to see you've struggled again. When you started this you were so motivated and 'good'. Its easy to let one or two bad patches turn into a week etc. Don't beat yourself up, its done, put it behind you and carry on. You can do this, you've proved that much, you know how bad you want it, its just a case of planning for your social events as that seems to be the main area you fail on. I didn't plan to eat at any point, but find that when at DD's party, a little nibble turned into another etc. and i didn't know when to stop. In retrospect, if I'd planned to eat, actually sat down and eaten a ss+/810 type meal i'd have probably felt more satisfied and less guilty, and actually have continued losing! Maybe its worth looking at your reasons for the eating, if you really enjoy and want to eat at social events then try to plan/cook for yourself in advance. Lifes too short to completely deprive ourselves, and this diet is a choice and shouldn't make you feel that way. Keep it up hun, you've done so well so far to give up now xx
Hope everyone else ok, I'm good, drinking and freezing to death today! Just put heating on- Oh gone to work so can't nag me! Going to do housework soon, putting it off by staying on here.....as usual. xx

Hi all,
Hope everyone doing ok? Trying to get going to get ready to go to WI soon but too tired.....Little madam woke at 5am and decided there was no way she would go back to sleep. Grrrrrr!
Loss seems to have stopped for some reason, been good, s'pose not been too active the last day or so, been very sad  and not been able to get head round to anything. Found out an old boyfriend died and it has freaked me.
Talk soon, wil post weight loss later. xx

HI Everyone,

I met with my CDC last night after another disastrous week and we've decided that now isn't the right time for me to be attempting cambridge. There's far too much going on and my head is all over the place. I'm spending too much time worrying about other people so that I don't have to focus on myself or the issues I have and as such I'm not thinking about myself at all and that's probably the reason why I can't get my head into the diet.

It's been great to be on the team and have all the support from you guys. You really are all doing fabulously well and I hope you all continue to succeed on your weightloss journeys.

All the best

Lorilei xx

Lori, so sorry to hear you're stopping at the moment, but glad you're taking steps to think about you for a change. You know this diet works, but i agree, you need to be in the right head space to give it your all. All the best hun, hope you feel ok soon, look after no1. If you come back, be sure to catch up with us, let us know how you are xx

Had 9th weigh in today and it was fab! Despite slowing down at the weekend the total lost was a lovely 6lb!
:bliss::bliss::bliss:

So pleased, now hit 3st 1lb in 9 weeks! Lost 56cm all over and my BMI is now in the 'overweight' range for the first time in ages. Got 2 weeks supply as away next week.
Went shopping then and bought 2 tops (size 16) and even fit into next jeans, the petite 16 fit ok but too loose on waist, the 14 fit a bit tight, but still looked ok with a long top. Just tried on some 14's from wardrobe, and can wear a few pairs now! Only problem is that i do not have any smaller clothes, so may need that shopping spree soon. All in all a good day, cheered me up no end, was just what Dr. ordered!
Did eat a bite of chocolate and about 4 peanuts though when back home. Oooopps... don't know why but i always feel the need to eat after WI. Not going to beat myself up on that though, just back to ss now!
Hope you are all ok and doing well. xx

Angelchaser I'm sorry to hear you're leaving us, but I hope you manage to sort things out and get your head back to where it needs to be to carry on. Best of luck xxx

Butterfly that's brilliant!

Well I have weighed in and despite the second bbq last weekend, I have lost 3lbs! I am delighted! That takes me to exactly 3 stone!! :D

Hi guys,

I'm so sorry I haven't been around but i've been in and out a hospital and not had a chance to catch up on here!:sigh:

Anyway I'm back on track now and have decided for the moment to go up to ss+ which I finding more manageable!

I found it so hard to get back on it again this time but I am determined to see it through as thats how I gave up last time! I haven't weighed in over a month as I felt that I had put weight on, and if I weighed myself it would get me down if I found out how much I had put on!:(

I sorry that you are leaving us Lori, but I wish you the best of luck xxxx

I see that everyone is doing brill.....definatley put me to shame! I've 2 months til I go on hols and determined to get at least 2 more stone off by then! xxx

Hi all my fellow Butterflies,
Sorry I have not been on for a while...had a very hectic week. I have been to work all weekend and it was my nieces birthday on Saturday and so I spent all of Thursday and Friday making and icing her a cake....It is virtually impossible to make a cake and not lick your fingers...it was iced with butter icing as well which is my favourite. I had to have a wet tea towel on hand at all times to wipe my fingers on every time I got a blob on them.
I only had my WI on Friday afternoon and didn't get time to even post my results....so can we put my results into this weeks challenge? Well here goes .............I lost 6 1/2 lb :bliss::bliss::bliss:
I have now changed my WI date to a Friday so I will post any future results on a Saturday or Monday or as soon as I can get onto the computer.

I hope all you girls are keeping on track...sorry to hear that Angelchaser is no longer with us...but have we recruited a new member yet?

Speak to you all later,

Hi girls,
Sorry for being a useless team leader this week and not getting to post our team results on the challenge....:gen144: We are on holiday in Devon and i have no connection in our place, have to dissappear out in the car, and then the battery only lasts so long. Hence i've not been around much at all. Promise will make up for it when i get back and return on my usual waffling form..!
I'm trying to stay on ss, got 2 weeks worth last week and so far have been good, until tonight...not sure why, but felt decidedly dodgy, but woozy and sickly aroung 530pm. Had only had 0.5 a shake this morning, so came to conclusion it may have been low BM's. So munched on a bit of my daughters side salad and had a slice of a childs pizza. Did feel better though for it. Think will have to space out the shakes/bars a bit better whilst running around so much and not able to get so much water. Have debated having a meal a few times, a healthy choice of chicken salad or something, just to 'join in' a bit more with the holiday thing. Wondering if it would really do me much harm?
Anyway, got to go and get DD into bed.
Glad you're ok and back Sarah and Claire. Hope everyone is doing well, catch up more soon. Is mrsessex joining us? Will pm her to ask, will be fab to have her on board. Take care xx
