Chickpea Dahl Loaf

    1 tin chickpea dahl( check it's a syn free brand )
    1 pk batchelors mild curry savoury rice
    4 eggs

    Make up rice as directed.
    Add chick pea dahl and the beaten eggs.
    Mix well and pour into a lined loaf tin.
    Cook for about 25 mins at 180'c, gas 5

    Free on Green days or extra easy.:flirt2:

    What brand of chickpea dahl do you recommend as I can't find any online on the SW site from tesco? Pref a syn free one. Sounds good. I'd like to try this out.

    Does sound yummy. Asda do a free chick pea dahl in a tin... it's YUMMY!!!

    Asdas chickpea dahl is free and Sundar which I buy in Morrisons is also free. It's usually somewhere near the mushy peas.:cool:

    thanks sounds lovely for lunch. Have you tried it cold?Maybe ok for picnics if it is.

    Think I prefer it cold actually. Just had another nibble and Hubby's just got home from work and had some and loves it.

    I couldn't find the chickpea dahl anywhere in asda on saturday - gave up looking after half hour!

    It's usually by the tins of ready made curry, bombay potatoes that sort of stuff.

    Don't bother with the new brown label Chickpea Dahl - it's NOT the same as the older pink label stuff.

    It was so bad I emailed Asda to complain

    Ahh i thought i was the only one that didn't like the brown labelled one. Had it one day and it was not nice at all

    I'm going to do mine with chicken and a big salad. Or maybe just the salad.
