I have to confess Ive just been out for a meal:cry: !! And it hasnt made me feel better its made me feel c**p for being a failure after such a good first weigh in result. The problem was all in my head but I really felt Id missed out on valentines day not going out so I tormented myself about it!! Had soup with a roll then chicken and chips although only ate about 6 chips and felt so stuffed!! To make it worse ive come home and taken dulcolax even though I know its not the right thing to do but im so fed up with myself. Just hope I can get back on track tomorrow and havent done too much damage. Sarahxx.

    Don't diet anymore!
    Sarah

You are at a crossroads :)

If you get over this, stick to the diet, drink loads of water then you will be slim.

If you let this knock you off the boat then you will always wonder what would have happened if you had just stuck to the diet for a while.

Make the right decision!! (it's left!)

    Hi Sarah,
I have got the same dilemma next weekend. Going away with the good lady wife, our first time away alone since our Kids were born some seven years ago! I don't want to spoil the weekend as she would like to go out for a meal, then theatre ect. So i think i am going to have to think about giving in to a meal, any suggestions would be grateful, been on the ss diet for two weeks tomorrow.

I found if I planned for it mentally ... ie "I'm going for a meal on xxxx and I'll get back on SS the next day " then it was ok and I had no problem - didn't even stop at the garage to buy sweets on the way home!!! I had what I wanted but really didn't feel the need to binge. Doesn't work for everyone though - you need to go with your gut instinct really!

    Just to add....

I was on SS for 5 weeks (decided not to do a full AAM) - as I new I had some "special occassions" coming up which would be near to impossible to skip the meal.

Thus, this weekend I had a hen party which included a 3 course meal in the evening. ( I SS'ed all the was till the morning of the hen day)

I had the prawns and one spoonful of the risotto for starters, ate some chicken and some of the veg for mains, then some cheese without the crackers for afters.

All in all - I think I made the best choices out of what was available.

No "sneaky treats" on route home or at home. Went to bed and woke up sunday morning... back on SS. So far so good.

Weigh-in is on Wednesday night so worst case scenario I stay the same. That will be my "penalty" for having a night off. Just have to stick to the route as eventually I will get at goal!

We must all stay focused on the long term goal.

Hi Sarah, I totally agree with Anne-Marie about making a decision that you are going out and you will be making the best choices that you can. Then the following morning straight back on it.
In my second week I had a meal out that no way cpuld I get out of. It was a xmas present from my fatherinlaw to go into london, meal and a show. I chose the heathiest meal on the menu, enjoyed it and stuck to water ad no pud.Got back on ss the next day and was fine(even lost 4lbs!) I know that this doesnt work for everyone but I think because I felt like I was in control as I'd made the decision to eat. It wasnt like I'd lost the plot driving past macdonalds!!so it was different.
Put it behind you, you've done it and the past is exactly that the past!!
    And well done for confessingLOL
    Nikki
