Hello to all you Minimins - nice to have joined you :)

I need some advice please. I have lost 21 Ilbs so far on CD which makes me 11 stone 7. I have a personal target of around 10 to 10 and a half stone as i've been there before and am a curvy size 10 at that weight ... however hubby has put a big ole spanner in the works by telling me last night that i dont need to lose any more, he doesnt want me to lose anymore and that i no longer need to be spending £35 per week on a diet he disagrees with

I'm desperate to carry on for a bit longer ... what do i do?:sigh:

Hi,

Your happiness is more important hun, if shedding a bit extra makes you happy then go for it :):):)

errrrrrrrrrr.........I'm tempted to tell hubby to wheesht!!!

but in reality, I think you should talk it through with him....explain what it means to you and maybe show him some of the research that the diet is safe and effective.

Do you save money on the diet? I do...no take aways, no binges, no lunches to buy, no alcohol etc. Maybe put that arguement forward?

Even if you do decide to come off it....I'd really advise moving up the plan for a few weeks and gently coming off it, otherwise you'll have a glycogen gain...

Fab work on your loss so far!!!:D

Let us know how you get on!!

Cheers guys :D He really is a luvvly hubby .. its just that he doesn't understand why i cant just eat salad and we were really social eaters, out for dinner a lot - which he wont now do if I sit there with a tetra and he's a tad fed up.

I wish i could make him understand how great CD is - it is causing a bit of a ruck and i'm very disappointed :sigh:

Hi Sash

It's not easy if you're hubby doesn't understand why you want to carry on and it will seem a lot of money but as Coley says, you're probably saving loads. You do just have to try and explain to him how much it means to you and that you want to lose a bit more, it won't take much longer and you'll be able to socialise with him a bit more. Or you could move to a higher with food plan to lose that last stone and then at least you can have some meals with him.

All the best whatever you decide to you and well done on your losses so far. :)

but hun....him not eating cause you're not is HIS problem.

I used to go out all the time with my ex....him eating, me not.

Its not your fault he feels awkward eating....you don't feel awkward that he IS eating!!

Hi Sash,

:sigh: Curvy 10 sounds very comfortable.

Think it is best to decide what you want.

It is your body after all, it has to be your own decision, otherwise the weight will not stay off if it is about someone else and not yourself.

My husband has got down to 10st. 12lbs. and he is 5' 10" and this give him a bmi of 21.8. He feels good at this as it gives him some leeway either side. (smallish frame)

Also, when you go back eating you do tend to fill out a bit more as the glycogen level comes back up.

Hope this helps.

For yourself

My hubby was the same until I explained that I needed to do this for ME, a happy ME makes a happy HIM, happy home etc........let him understand why you need to do this. Stick with it - you will be proud of yourself.:)

I will have 'the talk' with him this eve after i've put the sprog to bed. I'm sure he'll come round

Min, your hubby is extremely slim ! I guess we all carry our weight in different ways. I got down to under 10 a fe years back and i looked awful - people kept asking if i was ill

I will get down to 10 stone with CD - i have decided !! Apart from anything else I have developed a bit of a crush on the Cranberry bars and dont want to wave goodbye to them just yet !! :)

Cheers guys, your comments are really helpful

I hope he does not read this:rolleyes:

He is just about right and looks very well with and without clothes:p

He was developing a little bit of a 'pot belly' as men seem to do as they get older and it was pulling at his back, now that he has the weight off, he feels much fitter and healthier and is back is fine.

I do agree we all carry our weight so much differently.
