Hello does anyone know what to do to receive a message letting you know when somebody posts a comment to your pics? thanks!

this should happen straight away as mine does

it isn't happening! i have posted some clothes to give away and didn't get a message when somebody asked a question in the pic comments... have been through all the settings and can't find one that has that option
