Doing anything 'special' for Valentines day ?

Its nearly here.!!

Am too old and long in the tooth these days to do anything special here, dont even exchange cards with hubby these days.!!

He was going to get me some chocolate but have asked him not to, re the watching what i eat. So will just be a quiet day for us.

yep! Im going to the theatre with my OH! The first night we made 2 becoe 1 was through a date a the theatre he he so we kinda go on every special occaion!!

Have bought a card, chocies and westlife tickets (he really does like them ... and so do I - so double result!!) for OH.

Not sure of plans for Wednesday night - but he's asked me to keep it free .... so we'll see!!

Special treat starts at home when I arrive home from work. I'm following Cambridge so they'll be no going out to dinner OR having any romantic meal at home. However DM isn't too bothered.
I expect the evening will go down a hoot. It all starts with a hot steamy bath then something nice to drink then will conclude in bed ...............

Hi all,

Your valentine plans sound so much more exciting than mine. My valentines evening will be spent at my weekly exercise class My H2B is working away in Devon and won't be back until late, so I will probably be asleep by that time:sigh:

Seriously though, romance should be celebrated every day not just once a year for commercial reasons - so we are not that big on making a huge effort on Valentines. Saying that...there will be trouble if he forgets a card

I hope everyone has a good Valentines, whether you are in a "relationship" or not (my twin and I always exchange cards too...we started that at school so we would always get one card but of course we never told anyone who they were from ha ha ha)

im making an effort for hubby (for a change!) cos he spolit me rotten on my birthday and it ended up lasting 4 days.

sooo....the kids are staying at my sisters tonight and hes going to get brekkie in bed...amongst other things

i have bought him lots of little pressies and am going to make him a nice meal when he comes home frm work. will just have to have my soup pack while he tucks into all the treats im making

Then we will watch a movie and snuggle. awwww.

bought lots of oils and candles so he might even get a massage if i can be bothered after all the cooking lol.

I agree Valentines Day is very commercialised ... but have to admit to loving it!! Doesn't have to cost a fortune though.

OH has told me to keep Wednesday night free .... so he obviously has something planned!! And I've got him lots of bits and bobs ....
