Donna's fighting depression and weight diary!

What a busy day! Sounds like a lot of fun :) Well done to skinny Mummy too! I bet she is every bit as proud of you as you are of her. Enjoy your spring walk - long may this lovely sunshine last!

I am going to try this cos I am desperate for pudding and custard!

cals need a bit of a tweak: (have mfp'd them)

1 TBSP flour = 28
1 TBSP sugar (do not substitute) = 45
a pinch of baking soda
a pinch of salt
1 TBSP of low fat vanilla yogurt = 15 cals
= 88 Cals

Varieties:
Chocolate Pud: Add 1 TBSP unsweetened cocoa = 20 cals (this was original recipe)
Chocolate Orange Pud : as above + couple drops orange essence = 22 cals
Jam Pud: As above + 1tbsp jam = 39 cals
Treacle Pud: + 15g/1tbsp golden syrup = 49 cals
Spotty Dick: 15g sultanas = 44 cals

mix it all up, pop it in the microwave for 70 seconds, enjoy :)

Can't wait to try this!!!

Just been looking up Custards on mfp:
tesco low fat - 142g = 127 cals
tesco value - 1/2 tin (198g) = 140 cals (or 1/3 tin = 93 cals)
ambrosia 150g pot = 150 cals
birds instant custard mix = 150g (made up) = 91 cals

So if you can be bothered to make it - the birds instant is the lowest in cals - other than that the value custard is v low - find that really surprising - would have guessed the value version would be full of sugar

think the value version is thinner-and if I liked custard I think I would NEED to have the ambrosia its so much richer and creamier - but I would be more than happy to have yoghurt on the pudding

sorry you cant get to toning tables - could you not perhaps phone them up and say about illness and could you take a week off - they might let you

how can you stop at ONE ounze of cake I would rather go without as I know it would want more once I had started :)

nice food as usual - I dont have a sweet tooth - which is good as I never have the NEED for a dessert
I love the way you search out and find low cal options for your desserts :) I hope you write them down in a recipe book or at least save them in a word document for easy future reference

what are your plans for today
we are off to the same place I walked yesterday but taking all three dogs with us - I am sure then will enjoy it :):)

I am more a cheese, biscuit and crisp girl H but if I start I can't stop - the house is crammed full of goodies so I am being really good to resist

The sponge pud was delish - small - but hit the spot

Thanks for the advice on custard - I hate thick custard (reminds me of the school thick lumpy excuse for custard) but i LOVE the value stuff in fact...I had it for breakfast lol!

What a lovely (be it frosty) spring morning!

Was up at 6am - house was a tip so washed up all of last nights dishes (I live in hope that someone one day will wash up for me!), Paul and Meg have gone off to Wembley to see the Southend game so i was out early and on the toning tables at 8:30 - it was manic in there

Noah and I are having an easy morning - gonna go and clean my front windows (kitchen) once the sun has moved to the back of the house, might walk to the park if we have time after lunch but I really need to get some housework done

Also want to make oven-dried sun dried tomatoes

Got chicken breasts out for dinner but can't decide what to do with them???

BIG THANK YOU TO BERRYBERRY FOR MY LUNCH TODAY...

TUNA PANINI...so good I could have eaten several of them!
tuna panini raw.jpg
Take 1 wrap
Mix 1/2 tin tuna with 1tbsp mayo (or salad cream), salt and pepper
Lay some lettuce leaves (optional) in the middle of your wrap
Spoon tuna over lettuce
Cut 1x Babybel light into slices and lay on top of tuna
Sprinkle 1 dessert spoon of sweetcorn, 1x sliced cherry tomato and 1x cut up spring onion
Take the top and bottom of the tortilla and fold inwards
Take the two sides and fold these over to make a parcel
Either grill, george foreman or cook in a pan until the cheese has melted
tuna panini cooked.jpg
273 cals....pure heaven!
