Total Solution Eight Stone to go! Slinky summer here I come...

Curl up, with the heating on full wack, comfy pjs or onesie, and fab books and tv...it's the law!

Hi all, thanks for your posts, it's a cold thats really floored me! How ya feeling Ali? Love the table Marge, it's given me ideas for meals. I've still got a cough and mega sore throat but at least I can move now. Worst cold I've had I have to say and the timing has been crap beyond belief. ive Still been having the porridge though, yum. I started Exante to lose weight to try for a baby but the last 6 months has been so up and down. Well, on MOnday my date came to start short protocol IVF and I wanted to let you know because you are all such supportive friends and I wanted to let you know why I'm off the diet at the moment, although I'm still having shakes porridge and bars but with meal too as the vitamins are perfect ! I'm behind you all the way in your pursuit of slinkiness :)

i promise to book in a bit more now I'm better. Now to catch up on diaries.... Hope everyone is well..

Thanks Jael, on the mend now. I would rather be tip top on form before starting IVF but I couldn't delay. Here we go.....
Youve had a great loss so far too well done, how's it going?

yeah it's going well, today I feel great, yesterday was a bit of a down day, but overall things are fine and I'm finding the diet pretty easy. Once I stopped nibbling I stopped wanting nibbles if that makes sense, and it's showed in the losses too.

Makes perfect sense. I love the diet, trick is not to get distracted... Or ill god forbid... Keep plugging away!

Aww!! Hope the IVF goes well for you hun :) exciting times!

So glad you're starting to feel better, been a bit worried about you, think you and I have been and are still in the same boat health-wise.

My friend lost weight while she was pregnant, she had gallstones so had to cut out fat from her diet, she lost 3 stone during her pregnancy so its possible!

Do you have a date for getting started?

All being well with us by the time we get back from our jollies in October we'll be boarding the baby boat too :) xx

Good luck with IVF Angel that is exciting news hopefully you will soon be putting on the right kind of weight ie baby weight.

Just re-read your post, you start on Monday!! Wowweeeee! Excitement got to me there and didn't read properly :D x

I lost weight when I was pregnant, I just wasn't interested in food (the only time in my life lol). I was weighed at 85kg when it was confirmed I was pregnant and I was weighed at 85kg the week before I gave birth. They weren't worried about the weight loss at all as I was so big when I started (although right now 85kg seems like nothing, that's 13st 5lbs, what I wouldn't give to be that "big" right now lol.

Thanks everyone. I lost 8 st in 2009-2010 and got my bmi down less than 30. Then N Yorksire pct stopped funding any IVF and tests came back not good so emotionally I gave up and thought that was it so put the weight back on. We've been trying over 15 years. Im 40. Then last year a specialist doctor was suggested, we redid tests through our gp and they came back from Leeds not good according to the gp. we took them to the specialist and he said the results were impossible and made no sense so redid the test using his lab (different pct) and everything was fine. He wasn't worried about my weight because I'm overall healthy and he said the main thing is to drink loads of water and destress. We have to pay for it so we've used all our savings.

Exante is good for vitamins and no additives like others so are ok to keep using. So I am now on 3 injections daily... and eating as healthy as possible but I can't give up my porridge and shakes because I love them, I just need to up my intake. I promise not to go on about it on here because that's not what you're here for, I just wanted to let you all know why I'm not fully participating at the moment. It is best to lose the weight before starting IVF though, I just couldn't do it in the time I had. Good luck all, I'm sticking around to see how everyone's doing.

I wonder why the other tests were so inaccurate, makes you wonder what really goes on and will no doubt have been hard for you both to deal with :hugs: fingers, toes and everything crossed it works :)

Talk about it as much as you like hun, I consider a lot of people on here friends, I've been able to open up more than I do with my in person friends. The fact is when you're having a hard time, a great time, an amazing or down right crappy time, its comforting to know that there's someone there who will listen and offer friendly advice.

Can't ask for much better than that. I'm here for you :) as are plenty of others on here too x

Oh angel how exciting for you... I do hope you keep us informed though :) xxx

Thanks Carrie and Ali and Simone. Your support means loads. I'm staying positive but I'm still trying to shake the flu and I am still far too heavy and the chances of it working first time are slim but we just had to give it a go. If I start becoming a hormonal maniac I will be relying on you all to calm me down or tell me off :) Good news is I've got plenty of belly to stick all these flipping injections in! They don't half sting. I'm going for a smiley face on the left side of the belly button and suggestions welcome for the right side.... 3 injections daily until end of the month ish ..... Might as well create patterns as im going..... Ouch.... Nite all have a great day tomorrow...

Oh good grief, I'm never leaving you lot alone again, it's taken me hours to catch up on all your diaries. Great to see you all doing so well, I've missed the friendship so much. Have a good sleep all. Zzzzzzz

How about an angel to represent both yourself and the little angel you will hopefully have at the end of it all. :)
