Exercise and calories in vs calories out

Hi there, sorry if this has been posted before. I've been on S&S 2 and a half weeks now and I like to go running, I run 5K usually 3 times per week, sometimes a bit less, sometimes a bit more.

I've just put this mornings run into my fitness pal and it's saying I burned 377 calories. Now I know that could be a dramatic overestimate, but it's got me thinking - is it okay to be doing that kind of exercise? Should I be having an extra pack?

If i'm taking in 600is calories and then burning off even 300 then that is quite significant. If it helps with the weight loss and has no ill effects then I'm all for it lol but I'm a bit worried about muscle wastage, although I don't know enough about it to know how worried I should be.

Hiya.... on days I train more I sometimes have extra protein.... Chicken/eggs/protein powder..... It stops me wanting anything else!!!

Thanks Deezer, I guess I could add something if I needed it. I don't feel particularly hungry TBH, usually a shake is enough after a run for me but I'll see how I get on. x

I'm the same hun.... if you dont feel you need extra then dont have any.... I reckon mixing it up is the best way!! Your body gets used to stuff pretty quickly!!
