Today I was thinking about my new car. I test drove it yesterday. I will be getting it in the middle of March next year (on order now)..........Am I prepared to wait three months for a car - of course I am. I was prepared to wait 9 months for both of my babies.
Then I got to thinking - time is such a drop in the ocean. My eldest is 4 and 2 months....this time 5 years ago I was 8 weeks pregnant with him. It passed so quickly.

When I think of time like that it seem like nothing to have put my weight on project status. I am my own new baby !!! By the time my new car arrives I will be at least 60lbs lighter......guaranteed to be healthy, fit and with a bouncing BMI !!!:D The car is now going to be my reward. ;)

Baby goals along the way every four weeks........

In 9 months time I will be reborn (so to speak)
Maybe this is a weird way of thinking about it but its certainly helping me when I get bogged down in the passage of time and wanting results NOW today !!

I have a similar "thought". I like gardening, and growing plants from cuttings and seeds is a great pleasure of mine. I look at the diet as sowing seeds or taking cuttings. The flowers WILL come in a few months IF you look after the baby plants. (showing my age now!!!)

    Hi Bettyboo,

I treated myself to a new car (to me:) ) as a reward for doing well.

Goal setting is crucial to the journey as it does give you a direction to aim for.

Are you going to tell us what kind of car your getting:confused:

    Love Mini xxx

oooh how fab! and you will definitely lose that 10lbs by Christmas! Great plan.. I saw this journey as being similar to pregnancy... not in quite the same way as you, but I love your thinking!! :D
