Hello,
Welcome to my diary. I'm not new to MMs but I did take long break. I've tried most diets and although I do lose weight I struggle to stick with them for longer than a few weeks and gain back. I do like Fasting and I have been doing the 5:2 diet since the 2nd of April (actually I have been doing 4:3 most weeks) and so far I have lost 1st 2lbs (16lbs) and quite a few inches too which I'm very happy with.
I joined Slimming World online a few weeks ago and decided to incorporate it with fast days where I only eat 500 calories but all foods are still SW friendly and are usually fruits and natural yoghurt and sometimes I'll have low calorie jelly & milk (which I syn). I like doing s diet with SW mainly because I love the idea of filling my plate with lots of fruits and veggies but I do take a day out every week to eat what I want and that is not necessarily SW friendly food so that's why I haven't posted in the SW section of his forum! MODERATORS: Please feel free to move this diary if you feel it's more suitable elsewhere xx
I know SW is not about calorie counting and I don't CC on my non-fast days but so far this seems to working for me and I have lost 16 lbs so far and I love that I eat lots of fruits and drink lots of water on my fast days (it's almost like a detox for me). I am doing a bit of body magic (a term used for exercise for you non-slimming worlders!) most mornings so all in all I'm loving this way of eating.
My start weight was 12st 8lbs and I currently weigh 11st 6lbs. The last few weeks I've been losing on average about a 1lb a week and I am so happy with that as I get to eat lots of food most of which I like and still lose weight. Thanks for reading xx
