festive holidays

i seriously swear i am up 2 no good !
hi just wondering what everyone else does when it comes to holidays like xmas . Do you foget the diet , enjoy the eating the Syns and start again jan or do you plan through out he holiday .

Casting my mind back to last Christmas - which seem an eternity away bearing in mind how quickly the new one is looming! - I forgot SW for Christmas Day and when I had a 'do', tried to be a bit more sensible on Boxing Day and over New Year and then stuck to it besides that.

I always forget my diet on Christmas Day - but the rest of the holiday I try to be good -ish!!! and not overdo it.

I'm not much of drinker, a G&T or maybe a couple of glasses of red wine is all I will probably drink all over Christmas, so I don't have that problem, it's the cheese, mince pies, chocolate and fresh cream trifle that will be my problem, oh dear, LOL.....

I'm going to have a syn free christmas dinner and then treat myself to whatever pudding I fancy! Will be gowing through all my cook books and mags later to find recipes I can adapt for "party food" too

Christmas day itself I don't worry really....I never really go nuts as its a crazy day with over 20 people there usually. I have to be more careful on Boxing Day and New Years Eve as thats when the vino starts flowing and my will power goes bang.

I think Christmas is for indulgence though....I love it. I get massively over excited too....idiot! 37 days today!!
x

yikes thats scary when you say it in days considering how fast he days are flying in

I will stick to plan most of the time, but I am allowing myself to have the full works for Xmas dinner - no way am I making myself miserable! We dont buy in treats or chocs or nibbles at xmas, so my only indulgance will be my dinner & a few drinks.

I will hopefully be at target by christmas but only just!

I am planning to be careful before and after my 2 'dos' and Christmas itself.

I am planning to have SW meals for breakfast and lunch on the day of my 'dos' and a SW friendly breakfast and perhaps SW supper on Christmas day itself but just have a 'normal' meal when socialising.

I plan to do a mixture of both, some days off ie christmas day, boxing day and new years eve,and try to be good on the other days.

the last 2 christmases i was going to ww meeting and both years there was almost 2 weeks between weigh ins-i saw this as 2 weeks off and went beserk!!. this year i am doing sw at home so no real break, i think this year is going to be better for me!!

I am new to SW, but am hoping to be as good as possible and hopefully not indulge at all outside my 10 syns, I dont feel I am at the point that if I come off for a day I will recover, who knows in a few weeks though.

Once I have a bag of crisps thats like my ignition switch, it kick starts cravings for other things, so must stay away from them :D

Not a big drinker, but an occassional V+T will be appreciated, still working out xmas day pud, want something lovely but not to synful. Apart from that will not be getting any chocolate, kids get enough so i'm not going to risk me being tempted by choccy orange and the like lol x

My last class before Christmas is on the 23rd..not sure if there's one in between Christmas and New Year but I suspect so..and I'll be going to it, even if it's just to get weighed.

That said, I don;t plan to go mental, but equally I probably won;t be on plan for a few days, we'll have to see lol

The thing is, eatling the SW way won't make ME miserable. Esp when have time to prepare yummy things, and the excuse to spend a little more on lovely seafood, etc. BUT, it does seem to distress those around me to think that I'm not entering into the orgy of senseless gorging around me. Hmmmm. Thank god I'm at home for ALL of it, and only have our 2 best mates round on xmas day. They've seen me at my heaviest and lowest and undersand how much it means to me!

I'm having Christmas Eve (from about 6p.m.), Christmas Day, Boxing Day and NYE off but will try not to go too mad.
