Whatever life may have in store
Whatever friends you find
Keep open wide your heart and home
Then you'll have peace of mind
For what's the point of keeping shut
The door to happiness
And what's the use of hearts and homes
If we have none to bless
Perhaps the key we need to turn
To open up the way
That life and love will help us see
The need for friends today.
And friends will come and they will go
Remembering that you
Gave them a welcome and a smile
To help them see life thro'.
And when the time becomes enough
And paradise afore
Just think of all the friends you'll have
To live with evermore!
