From low carb/GL to slimming world?

Hi

I'm sure this has been asked before, but has anyone gone from low gL/ low carb to doing sw and had success? Thinking of going back to sw as want a change and a bit more freedom, but worried I'll end up with a massive gain in the first week! Would do red and green as don't get on with extra easy but would want to have green days as well and the thought of a big jacket potato and sw chips etc is lovely but worries me!

Hi Jojo,

I've only done low carb once, many years ago, so can't be much help, but I really doubt you'd have a gain by going onto a healthy eating plan. Sorry, that sounded really preachy! I don't mean to be, what I mean is, the SW plans are designed to make everyone lose weight, no matter what they've been eating before, and carbs aren't fattening per se, and you can't build up a resistance to them, so I really think you'll be fine!

Thank you! I'm going with sw, I am completely fed up of not having potatoes!

Just to decide whether to join a group or go it alone now....

as far as joining a group or going hans solo, thats completely up to you, go along and test the water.
