Gadgets for lazy cooks!

Souffle

I bought a pineapple slicer off eBay last night as I always end up buying fresh pineapples and then just throwing them away because I can't be bothered to chop them up (lazy I know!) I've also been looking at getting a potato chipper because even though I've been doing SW on and off for 6 years I've never ever tried SW chips and I feel I'm missing out!

Can anyone suggest any other kitchen gadgets that'll make my life that little bit easier? :D

I have used my Actifry just a few times - it is so big it just gets in the way. It's in the garage in its box at the moment because I just don't have room for it.I don't make soup often enough to make a soup gadget worth while, although I think they are brilliant.I can't see myself getting a potato chipper because I can't see how it would be much better than a good sharp knife! But each to their own. My sister has a pineapple slicer and loves it, but I can't see myself ever bothering with one.

Lazy gadgets to me are things like a food processor, actifry and slow cooker - as in things which make cooker easier. Couldn't really manage without any of these things.
I am in agreement with Anna, a sharp knife makes short work of chipping potatoes, really not a problem.

I love gadgets!

I have a Philips Airfryer (like an actifry but better!!)
And a George Foreman grilling machine

Would love a tefal chopper thing I saw! X

Electric cheese grater?! How comes I have never heard of this magical invention?! :)

I need a chipper/dicer as that's what stops me from doing things like veg/chips. It is lazy but when you've been at work all day the last thing you feel like doing is spending 20 mins prepping food, especially when it could take 5/10!

Is there any good chippers/dicers that you would recommend?

My pineapple slicer arrived today... only thing is I don't have a pineapple in the house to try it out on. Fail!

My stick blender is something I can not manage without.

I wouldn't even think of a chipper thouh I can see some people might want one.

I buy my fresh pineapple peeled, cored and sliced and in a great screw top plastic container that when the pineapple is eaten makes a brilliand container for SS soup for the freezer.

Pineapple is my favourite. I eat it til my mouth gets sore. It's a speed food isn't it?

Yes and delicious.

If ypu buy a good food blender you will find you have lots of attachments that will save you time until it comes to washing it all lol !!

George Forman but for health reasons rather than making like easier... Slow cooker! Best invention ever ever ever!!! Toastie maker! Soooo 80's!

Oh yes. George foreman and toastie makers are awesome inventions :) cheese and onion toastie is my fave!

Toastie maker is great for doing omelette / frittata type things.. especially the deep ones
You can also do a sort of scan bran cake in it..
Maybe a potato cake / bubble and squeak thing too ??

I bought an electric cheese grater on a whim, have used it once...!

Gadgets I neeeeeeed in my life are:
- mini whisk / frother
- Jamie Oliver flavour shaker (better than an old school pestle & mortar!)
- crinkle cutter
- poaching pods

And every day I think I should have bought a julienne peeler, but I keep forgetting to actually get one!

it's not just a greater, does slices too so good for slicing cucumbers, carrots etc for salads or soups, or for potato's for microwave crisps... :)
