I have a hand driven mandolin which I do get lots of use out of for slicing veggies, I find the hand guard on it particularly naff and never use it unless I've just watched some sort of cooking program where someone cut themselves horribly on a mandolin instead I tend just to waste a bit of veg by not putting it completely though but I've never tried it with cheese though which seems like it would stick.

Also have a Breville blend active that you can make drinks in and then just put the lid on and go (haven't though - always decant it into something else for my own hygiene twitching reasons.

I have one of these and absolutely LOVE it. I hate drinking out of the lid thing, though, so I always just pop a straw into it.
