Are we allowed to take Gaviscon for heartburn?
The peanut flapjack tonight has given me heartburn, but unsure if I can take gaviscon.

Hmmm i'm not sure, I don't know of the sugar content?

In the past, if I had run out of rennie etc, I would take a glass of water with a teaspoon of bicarbonate of soda in it. It works a treat (although it tastes like sh*te), my gran recomended it years ago and it works. But I don't know if thats allowed either?

Heartburn is horrible, and I hope you feel better *hugs*

Thanks both, I didnt take it as I was too worried incase it knocked me out of ketosis, so I just kept sipping water and it went after an hour or so.

Kered, you can take Gaviscon. When i had seriuos heartburn in the first week, my pharmacist double checked and i bought the Gaviscon peppermint tablets. So just for future reference.
