I has roasted beetroot on a warm salad the other day. I ate half of it before I even cooked the rest lol

When I was little, about 9, 10, I accidentally spilled a jar of beetroot down me, mum whipped off my top in front of the entire family, to chuck it in the wash.... I just stood there at the dinner table in my Tammy Girl bra, absolutely mortified....

I've not touched beetroot since lol



Wonder if I'm brave enough to try it....

I love fresh beetroot is fab, and its even better when you make crisps from it
Never had it roasted Jo, how long do you do it for? and do you cut it up first? obviously you take the skin off first... whilst turning hands red ha ha! gloves defo needed x

Gherkins and beetroot - love em!! Thanks for the reminder - been looking for things to jazz up my salads a bit as I'm getting a bit bored. Think this might do the trick.

I really can't face gherkins personally. I've never actually eaten one, but when I was younger my grandmother had a huge jar of them which she left by a window in the sun. It exploded, and made one hell of a smelly mess! lol.
