I've never been much of a girly girl... but i suspect that i hid behind that because i couldn't wear girly things....

As the weight comes off my interest in clothes/shoes has hightened lol...

So my question is....

I've never been able to wear shoes for any length of time (heels) is this because of my weight you think.... or is it simply because i am not used to it!!!

When i get down to goal i'd love to start to wear them.... Is it just my weight that makes them so uncomfortable!!!!

Deezer- I think it could be as many are made for narrow feet. I always buy braod fitting. However I think with heels it's best to start small with kitten heels and get used to them and again best to buy good quality. I find Barratts great- I can dance all night in 5 inch heels without hurting my feet.

Clarkes shoes are fantastic as well though a tad on the expensive side. Always carry a wee pair of pumps with you though so if you are getting sore you can swap into them so you aren't too put off and always break them in for at least half an hour at home in a pair of mens socks before wearing anywhere!!

bex!

Hi hun i know what you mean i have a major shoe addiction (my collection is gathering dust though at the moment :().

I think weight does effect it though as i cant wear them at all anymore. :( if you think how much you weigh and its all resting on the balls of your feet. You can understand how it hurts.

But when i lost 4 stone last year i gained more confidence and wore a pair of 5in wedge sandles ( it was summer and they are beautiful) out shopping etc and it was fine, comfy too.

So dont worry it should get better and if you start small it will get you used to them more as its a different type of walk when you wear heels.

Good luck hun

Dee if you wanna start wearing heels ...I'd suggest wearing wedges first and you can get some lovely shoes :) ... then try wider heels so all the weights not on 1 point. If you want higher heels wear platform which look stunning but take some of the height out by having a built up section under your foot ;) ...can wear those for hours now at my weight so you'd have no probs with those :D x x x

I used to wear heels all the time but can't now and I think this is purely down to my weight so I'm really looking forward to getting back into wearing them x

Interesting question. Something I hadn't thought about but makes total sense...would love it if I could wear heels and be comfortable since I love shoes. Will have to put it to the test and see what difference being 35lbs lighter makes. :)
