Hi Linda,

I woke up and had the same thought. I sure hope that things go well for you and your family. BIG HUGS to you and yours.

MM

Oooooh so very quiet here today, have a few concerns about daughter tho as our Pastor from church rang me last night saying daughter had rung her and wanted her to go round and talk, but it was 10 last night and daughter is supposed to be getting as much sleep as possible. I filled our Pastor in and she said she wouldn't go round... I hope having the children back hasn't thrown her off track again but dont like to ring this morning incase she is actually sleeping..... must admit not missing Thomas though and I did get some work done last night, so quite pleased there.

Scales have gone down slightly this morning but am still the same as Tuesday morning, why is the weight not coming off, I am sticking to it 100% and even varied the order in which I ate yesterday, had my MAM at lunchtime etc and had something different for dinner last night, but today I have recognised that this is the point where I would normally change diets but am determined to stick with it again until at least Tuesday, there is actually no food I particularly want to eat which is good so CD is good as the food is hardly exciting..... ha ha. Dont want to have to make the decisions between what is good and what is bad on WW at the moment so will stick to this until Tuesday and see what WI says......

Thank you all for your kind words it is much appreciated too..... and I consider you all my friends (but only because I dont have any IRL.....) ha ha

You are probably wise to stick with it Greeneyes, I've been reading how weight doesn't come off in a nice, neat downwards line - which is probably a good reason for only weighing once a week - not that I do though, the temptation is too great!

I hope your daughter makes progress and her depression lifts, poor girl, I do feel sorry for her. She is lucky to have you though, but it's hard for you. Everyone will naturally be concerned about her while you are feeling 'wrung out' on the sidelines as well. Big hug Linda, your doing great all round. xxx

Aw Linda, I am very sure thats not true that you have no friends IRL......bet you have loads. Glad though that you consider us all your friends, as do I and don't know what I'd do without you all.

You are being so strong and supportive for your daughter and your grandchildren and I do hope that you are getting similar support from the rest of your family. I am sure Mr Depp is putting his strong and loving arms around you..............:sigh:

Take care of you. And well done. You are doing a great job all round xxx

The weight definitely doesn't come off in a smooth progression, has been very up & down with me, even taking out the 'blips', but it does go... hang on in there and don't listen to the fed up voice if things slow, because it won't be for long.

Do agree you need to get some support for you as well as DD, I hope today has been good for her and is a step towards being well again. Yes, agree that we have a special friendship group on here, it's pretty amazing really... this wagon really is rolling forward for all of us - nbody allowed to jump ship this time!

Hi Linda --

We are In (your) Real Life. We are like the pen friends of earlier times... and if you do not think we're real, I may just drive over to Sandhurst and pick up Chels and Jess, then drive over to Essex just to prove it.

And, don't you think I won't, Little Missy. I'm American -- we think nothing of driving three hours ONE WAY to go to concert! (I once drove 126 miles round trip starting a 1:00 a.m. for doughnuts. I wonder why I am fat?)

I am praying for your daughter and her family -- I felt that you wouldn't mind.

Can you get any funnier Mel? Route 66 by any chance? I would love to drive along one of your wide, straight roads that go on and on for miles, with no other traffic around.........or is that just in the movies? xx

Lol... it took me a while to work out what IRL meant. I thought Linda was referring to not having any friends in Ireland hahahaha

You must be a natural blonde!

Can you say Montana road trip? There used to be no daylight speed limits in Montana because it takes soooooo freakin' long to drive anywhere in that vast state! It is over 600 miles on mostly wide straight roads. I have been wanting to do this for 15 years.

I once drove across Texas from east to west on Interstate 10 -- it took three days of nearly non-stop alternating drivers driving. It is
895 miles from the border of New Mexico on I-10 to the border of Louisiana on I-10 just outside of Orange.

In comparison:
On the sign post at John O'Groats it states that the distance to Land's end is 874 miles.

So, if the entire Island of Great Britain was picked up and dropped sideways on top of Texas, it would fit with a few a miles on either side to spare!

Lol, I was but the ageing process has turned it mousey brown with a few 'natural highlights' in for good measure :D

Makes you realise what a little place we live in, which makes our history all the more remarkable really. I fancy a nice big motorhome to do the journey in Ying - then when you are doing your driving stint, I could chill in bed :D When I am doing my driving - you wouldn't be able to chill because I've never driven on the wrong side of the road before and you would, therefore, be sh**ting yourself :D:D:Din the passenger seat!!!!

xx

Hi GE just caught up on your posts, you are having a tough time, sorry to hear about your dd, hope things improve soon, we are all here for you :grouphugg:

Yang,

My DD is all for this idea... she wants to (as her High School graduation gift/trip) to drive through as many of the 48 continguous states and visit the State Capitals. I'd rather see the major attractions like the Grand Canyon, etc. I think she'd come around on this detail. ;)

New Film: Thelma, Lousie O.A.P.s and their younger caretaker! lol

Hope you're having a good Saturday Greeneyes.

Hi all, just a quick catch up, will comment on diaries tomorrow.....
DD took a turn for the worse last night so DH rang Crisis as she came round to tell me she had cancelled her appointment today and that she was no longer going to church ever and that everyone should leave her alone as it is her life, she was so desperately not herself, so as soon as she left I rang her hubby to tell him to get on to Crisis to tell them to make the appointment today. He told her and she rang up really really angry yelling at me, so we rang them instead. We also said her hubby wasn't really much support as he was overwhelmed with it all. At 10.45 DD rang and apologised and said she had rang Crisis and had a long talk to them and that she knew we had rang them as she asked them but she apologised..... today she spoke to the Crisis team this morning as they were ringing her early to make sure the night had gone okay and they said what time they were coming out and that they were offering support for her husband too, so obviously they did listen to what we said..... so back on a kind of even keel at the moment.

Good news on the scale front, they have gone down to 11 stone 11.8lb today, so have dropped 2lb since Tuesday, so very pleased with that. On the other pound front, have lost loads as I had to buy a new washing machine today!!! boohoo!!! Anyway, off to do my life coaching homework, bit behind and need to catch up..... have a great evening all, hope everything is going your way.....

Mel, you are welcome here anytime and the more people you collect on the way the better.....

We are like the pen friends of earlier times...

I like this.

Linda, still thinking of you. I'm sorry that everything's so worrying and hope there are improvements soon. xxx
