Morning GE - just wanted to send you and your DD hugs for today! Hopefully she's able to enjoy her day with her sons now that she has the support that she needs!
You are a wonderful Mum & Grandma - they are lucky to have you!!
Thank you all for your kind words it is much appreciated too..... and I consider you all my friends (but only because I dont have any IRL.....) ha ha
Can you get any funnier Mel? Route 66 by any chance? I would love to drive along one of your wide, straight roads that go on and on for miles, with no other traffic around.........or is that just in the movies? xxHi Linda --
We are In (your) Real Life. We are like the pen friends of earlier times... and if you do not think we're real, I may just drive over to Sandhurst and pick up Chels and Jess, then drive over to Essex just to prove it.
And, don't you think I won't, Little Missy. I'm American -- we think nothing of driving three hours ONE WAY to go to concert! (I once drove 126 miles round trip starting a 1:00 a.m. for doughnuts. I wonder why I am fat?)
I am praying for your daughter and her family -- I felt that you wouldn't mind.
MM
Lol... it took me a while to work out what IRL meant. I thought Linda was referring to not having any friends in Ireland hahahaha

Makes you realise what a little place we live in, which makes our history all the more remarkable really. I fancy a nice big motorhome to do the journey in Ying - then when you are doing your driving stint, I could chill in bedYang --
You must be a natural blonde!
Lol, I was but the ageing process has turned it mousey brown with a few 'natural highlights' in for good measure![]()
Can you say Montana road trip? There used to be no daylight speed limits in Montana because it takes soooooo freakin' long to drive anywhere in that vast state! It is over 600 miles on mostly wide straight roads. I have been wanting to do this for 15 years.
I once drove across Texas from east to west on Interstate 10 -- it took three days of nearly non-stop alternating drivers driving. It is
895 miles from the border of New Mexico on I-10 to the border of Louisiana on I-10 just outside of Orange.
In comparison:
On the sign post at John O'Groats it states that the distance to Land's end is 874 miles.
So, if the entire Island of Great Britain was picked up and dropped sideways on top of Texas, it would fit with a few a miles on either side to spare!

in the passenger seat!!!!
