Greeneyes will PERSEVERE.........

Thanks for your comments everyone, it feels to great to be here at last... I actually feel a sense of peace which I haven't felt in a long while, obviously although 10 stone 5 was my original goal, it wasn't where I was meant to be... lol
So yesterday, I gave in and cooked some muesli muffins, I know they sound nice and healthy and they have wholemeal flour and muesli but I am sure they are still a treat thing, but they were very filling and when I got on the scales this morning they have dropped by 0.4lb, so obviously they weren't too bad, am trying to maintain, so can see I have got my food nearly right. Tonight wont be quite so healthy as is spicy sausage casserole with lentils, but the only spicy sausages I could (that didn't cost the earth for the 7 of us) are spicy bbq and I am not too keen on bbq so wont be eating too much sausage... hmmm mum is also bringing me round some runner beans she has grown so will cook them with it and fill up on them. Was also going to make some bread pudding... I need to get rid of the bread but not so sure about the amount of calories.. Daughter is babysitting tomorrow, so maybe I can get her to eat some.... she is pregnant and not watching weight... lol
Busy day today, taking daughter to hospital for pregnancy check up, my 8 year old son has to have a blood test, then off to library as they are taking part in a reading challenge there, and then I am thinking of popping to Asda, to look at the clothes and also because I want some cornmeal and my local supermarkets dont sell it (Tesco and Morrisons). Then need to exercise, cook, iron and order next weeks shopping online (have a voucher and I dont buy food on impulse when I shop online) when I get back...
Have a great day everyone.

Goodness honey you lead a very busy life!!!! I see the sitting on the hands yesterday didnt pay off, and I still havent had my carrot cake yet alone muffins lol. Hope your day goes as planned and enjoy your shopping for your new figure xxxx

Woo Hoo, a belated congratulations on reaching goal - very nice to read about you eating things that are treats and still loosing weight.

OMG, cannot believe it, last WI today on Cambridge as have now finished working up plans and I lost 3lb.... how on earth did that happen, so my scales today showed 9 stone 13lb.... lol. So have got where I want to be, just need to maintain it now. My CDC is going to come and weigh me on 9th September to make sure I am maintaining and not putting on. Wow cannot believe I have finished it at last... am on a real high today, I just never thought I would get there (and I had the last piece of carrot cake last night)... will now step up my exercise a bit and am about to walk to the Post Office and may even have a go on the cross trainer when I get back....

Fantastic Linda, well done.I am so pleased for you.

Well didn't get everything done yesterday, my poor little boy was quite distraught when they went to take his blood and they took 3 test tubes and it came out really slowly, he just sat sobbing saying it hurt lots..... but today he is back to normal although a bit worried about seeing the doctor next week, I keep telling him he wont ask for more blood tests but not sure if he believes me. My 6 year old woke up in the night screaming, he had a raging temperature so we gave him some calopol, about half an hour later he woke up with high pitched screaming and his dad went to check on him and he started screaming really high pitched and loudly saying dont come near me, he had had a bad dream obviously because of the temperature. The medicine must have kicked in as he didn't wake up until about 8.30am sobbing saying he felt sick (he has been complaining about a really bad throat for a few days now) we gave him some more medicine and he wanted breakfast but when he was trying to chew it he was crying because his head hurt. Again once the medicine kicked in he has been fine, I have got some more medicine from the pharmacy so he can take nurofen and paracetemol and alternate them every 2 hours but they said with those symptoms he should see a doctor... er yeah fat chance if you dont ring at dead on 8am then you dont get an appointment, and me and hubby are due to leave here in just over 30 minutes to go to London for U2. Daughter is looking after him and she will know what to do if he gets worse. I know he does have 3 of the symptoms for swine flu but we really dont know anyone with it, and after reading up on tamiflu and finding out how it affects children and the only benefit is that you recover 1 whole day earlier than if you didn't take it, I am not sure I would let him have it anyway. (Do I sound like a bad mother)....
Anyway, had a breakthrough last night, took a muffin out the tub, put it on the table to have with my cup of tea, and then realised I was full and put it back.... unbelievable and absolutely wonderful... I resisted as I didn't need it... lol
Have a good day guys, cya all tomorrow... xx

Aw well done you, dont think im so good at resisting things lol. Have an ace time at U2 and hope your little boy is better on your return xxxx

awww, hope your little boy is on the mend now, and you had a great time at U2.

Also, as I have missed it - congrats on getting to goal too!
xx

Pfft cough splutter. 10 kids!! Wow. You are a brave woman.

I know you were concerned about your tummy and now I understand more why! I used to sell cosmetic surgery and a lot of women came in for tummy tucks post having one or two babies. The muscles and skin can only handle so much before nothing other than surgical treatment will give you a flat tummy again.

hey Linda, Hope you are good hun! Hope your little boy is better now poor thing my 6yr old boy alway does exactly the same thing when having a temp, middle of the night bizarre dreams where he's asleep but looks like he's awake and screaming and hiding from imaginary monster at the end of the bed it's really spooky sometimes, always know he's coming down with something when it happens though.
Hope the U2 gig was good, i saw them way back when on the joshua tree tour a million years ago one of the best concerts ever!

Have a fab day hun

Hey Linda...
Hope you enjoyed U2 and hope your little boy is feeling better...
OMG have you got 10 children...... WOW....... I know you had quite a few.... but 10 Linda, I take my hat off to you..
Well done for resisting the muffin and realising you were not actually hungry thats fab..
Take care xxxx

Well I enjoyed the U2 concert so much, we were actually leaning on the barrier and so close to them we could have touched them if we had of reached out... totally awesome, I did put on a bit of weight, but think it was also TOTM was due even though I changed pills and had to take one pack after the other and I hadn't been having my dandelion tea to help with water retention.... today I am back to normal despite giving in to the very large piece of cheesecake in my fridge and feeling really full whilst eating it but carrying on anyway. There is nothing like that left in my house and so wont be tempted by anything other than a mullerlight yoghurt or fruit today.
We had to ring NHS direct Saturday morning with my little boy as he started being sick as well as having a raging temperature, headache and sore throat, and when the nurse rang back she was saying swine flu, but we haven't been near anyone with it that we know, the doctor then rang and asked us to take him to the hospital. She examined him and said tonsillitis and gave us some amoxycillan. He only had one dose and Sunday morning he got up and was near enough right as rain although he said he still had a sore throat. So today he is totally back to normal, and so is my weight, so good day all round so far.... lol I am thinking of tidying my wardrobe out tonight to get rid of all the clothes that are too big which is most of them as the clothes that do fit are hung on the wardrobe door.... Had to buy a new U2 t-shirt as the one I bought 4 years ago when we saw them in Poland was too big.... he he.
Just thought you might like to see a couple of photos we took on Friday...

Glad to hear all is well with little boy and you enjoyed your concert bet they were ace, not really a fan but would still like to see them live!!! Is that you in the piccie honey? if so your looking very skinny my dear and well done on getting back on track after cheesecake, I think its all about everything in moderation at your stage, you can have a slice of cheesecake but not the whole thing lol xxxx

Glad your little boy is back to normal and it's not the dreaded Swine Flu!
Also glad you had a fab time at U2 and that your weight is back to normal too.

Keep your determination to maintain going and I just know you will succeed xx

Yes that is me in the picutre and that is a big glass of water and not beer.... lol

The cheesecake was slightly more than "in moderation", more like 3 peoples worth, but luckily it was pretty low cal....
