DH has been given his letter and has now finished work..... and his car is going to cost £260 to fix... aaarrrgggghhhhhh

Stooooopid, I bought a Slimming World magazine this morning, can you really eat all that yummy food and lose weight, it didn't work for me before.... could it this time? Wish I hadn't bought it now!!
But on the plus side DH has another interview for tomorrow, it is 40 miles away but they are moving local to us shortly so are looking for people local to here..... he would have to start the job 40 miles away but hopefully it wouldn't be for too long.....

DH chased up the recruitment consultant today for the job last week where they promised him a second interview. Turns out they took a guy on internally. Guy who interviewed couldn't apologise enough and said that if he had of known they wouldn't have got DH in and wasted his time. Was the worst job so far for the least money so not really a loss, although at the moment any job would be better than none, but thinking with redundancy and this months wages could possibly be normal until end of April, just seems to uncertain without a job. He is now on his way to another interview 40 miles away but they are moving local, and he has a second interview next week on Tuesday as guy was sick this week and couldn't keep the appointment yesterday.
DHs car came back, cost £260, which was cheaper than it should have been as the guy charges hours worked and not the amount of hours it should have taken which another garage would have done. Needed a whole new clutch, the old one was smashed to smithereens..... so today a week too late, I have taken out breakdown cover for both our cars..... ha ha, no more stranded on M25...... and DH will be covered just incase today....
Scales have risen slightly today, not sure why, should be TOTM, should have started Tuesday (normally like clockwork as on pill) and it kinda made a token effort but hasn't really taken off at all, virtually non-existent which is unlike me as I can not normally leave the house for 2 days due to heaviness of it.... so not sure what is going on there..... happy with the rise in scales tho.
Still trying to decide what to do next week, cannot really afford any more CD packs and they run out on Tuesday, but am doing well on this at the moment, cannot really spend the £30 a week when we need the money to live on at the moment..... ho hum!!!

Still rooting for Mr D to get one of those jobs - he is getting the interviews, so that is hopeful, try to stay positive.
Wonder if stress and CD are messing with your totm a bit? Mine are crazily erratic and often absent on CD. Phew that the car was a bit cheaper than thought, and thumbs up to the insurance. Can you try for one last week on CD, as you are doing so well? In that week a lot could change... Mr D could land one of the jobs, hopefully. Can you talk about it and see what he thinks? Even one more week could make a big difference, though I do understand how you feel. Difficult decisions.

Mr Depp is very easy going and if I wanted to do CD then he wouldn't have a problem, its just me that worries about everything.... lol.
Job today is a no go really, they are not moving local until November, the job is 40 miles/1 hour away, I dont think his car would stand another 13,600 miles, it has already done 210,000 and that would cost us £400 a month in petrol, double what it costs now and we already live hand to mouth, so that isn't really an option, the slightly extra money wouldn't cover it.
So fingers crossed for the job on Tuesday really........

Hi everyone, sorry I haven't been around, have been mega busy......
I have moved over to SW with a lot of you as I cannot afford the shakes anymore, I am muddling along the best I can. Scales have risen by 1lb since Sunday, but today have STS as Monday, so maybe things are looking up, especially as I seemed to eat tons yesterday...... and when we went to Costa last night they had no skimmed milk left so had a full fat milk latte (did fit in with my syns and HE though) so was not bad at all.... have found I prefer the skinny latte now though. Unfortunately Monday night I came down with a bad attack of cystitis, still not right but it is getting better at last.
DH had 2nd interview yesterday for job, now guy has to decide between him and 1 other, he says he may decide by Friday afternoon, he doesn't seem to be in any rush to start someone new though, so fingers crossed for DH.
Very quiet on the boards at the moment where have you all gone?

Exactly what I thought since my return to Minimins and now you all defect over to SW.
Sign of the times for sure. CD is such a commitment , both mentally and financially.Good luck to hubby and hope he gets the outcome he hopes for on Friday.
And you, Greeneyes11, get well soon. Was concerned when you disappeared for a few days.
