See that looks really nice & it's one of them I didn't think would tempt me...

I've done the paprika chicken again tonight but with more paprika this time x

This sounds pathetic but this book really is changing my life!!! I've never been too confident in the kitchen, fine for basics but if I made a chilli or curry I always used a packet or a jar of mix, not any more, oh no I can cook!!!!

Yes very cool!! Well done :)

Lol! As I say proper dinners & I do a mean risotto but I'd never have made a chilli from scratch wouldnt have know where to start to be honest but these recipes are so easy its a joy! The boy is certainly enjoying it although he has had a lot to drink while eating it - maybe its a bit hot lol

Still no book for me... Could I feel even more sorry for myself :(

Book ordered... Now as you all know I am not a domestic goddess.. But I might actual try and cook hubby something when it comes, that is if he lets me loose in the kitchen.. The kitchen is very much his place :)

Promise you so far they've all been easy & I'm no domestic goddess. My advice is ignore when today's oil & use frylight or dry fry x

Yeah I fancy them but am too scared to cook them when there are 8 at 231 cals each!

Ooh yeah, you would have to invite another 7 people for dinner :)

I did the Sheperds Pie last night and it was really nice. The book says to cookthe leeks in oil but I popped them in a steam bag and steamed them in the microwave instead.

I downsized the recipe and made one for me and OH, worked out 800 cals for the whole thing and my portion was about 325 - 350. I will definately try again but i don't think the creme fraiche in the mash makes much difference i will used milk next time to make the mash and save even more cals there.

I steamed the leeks above my tates & just mixed it together, I used milk to mash it too....

I've done the paprika chicken a couple of times & fiddled with it second time & it was better x

The jalfrezi curry is amazing! I don't use the oil to fry the veg and spices, I don't use fry light either; just dry fry. But if you don't like a hot curry, don't put the directed amount of chilli. We love hit curry so add more chilli. But the texture and taste is like a takeout/restaurant meal.
