Hello! I'm Drift, and I'm brand new here :)

I started SW several years ago and lost 2.5st in time for my wedding - but since then life and my own motivations have gotten in the way. A wedding, marriage and graduating medical school resulted in a phenomenal amount of stress that I ate through - and then with a diagnosis of PCOS things just got worse.

So, enough is enough and here I am a year on - almost 1st heavier than my own record and determined to regain the confidence I used to have. I'm staying away from group this time and weighing at home as the atmosphere, catchphrases and whatnot never sat well with a cynic like me and I just felt uncomfortable. Curves will always be a part of who I am, but a few less of them would be nice!

I look forward to meeting you all on the forums :D

Hi Drift, nice to meet you. I go to my first SW meeting tomorrow which i am nervous about. I did try it many moons ago and like you certain things didn't sit well with me. I'm hoping this time the consultant will not be as distracted by certain LOUD members who have a lot to say for themselves.
Best of luck to you x

Hey Mollyrock! I think if you find a group that fits it can be really helpful - but mine became gimmicky and too focused on what people did wrong. That and I've never liked 'nothing tastes as good as being thin feels'... But I won't get started on that!

Best of luck with your group, and I hope it works for you :)
